BE IN THE KNOW ABOUT SNOW
CITY CREWS MONITOR AND REMOVE SNOW AS REQUIRED TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEXT SNOWFALL What you can expect: • City crews monitor and remove snow from high-traffic roads, priority streets and bridges to reduce snow melt and keep Saskatoon moving. • Graded snow will be stored in windrows to slow down snow melt and reduce flooding around catch basins. • Snow is removed periodically from designated school zones to increase visibility. • Snow removal occurs following a snow event on Business Improvement District streets. • Snow is removed to restore parking as required. What you can do: • Drivers should watch for work crews, remain at least 15 metres (2.5 car lengths) behind equipment, and be ready to stop. • Respect mobile work zones so work can be completed safely and efficiently. • If you must pass, reduce your speed and use extra caution. • Obey temporary no parking signs. For more information, visit saskatoon.ca/snow or contact us at snow@saskatoon.ca and 306-975-2476.
