May 13 First Mosaic held at the Exhibition Stadium, groups performing – Polish, Scottish, Greek, Kiev, French, Irish, Romanian and Poltava. Attendance: 1000. Passport: $1.

Regina Folk Arts Council is renamed the Regina Multicultural Council. May 18-20 The first three-day event takes place.

July 3 Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip attend a 20-minute performance by ethnic groups. Performers were: Bavarian, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Highland and the First Nations dance groups.
1977
May 26-28 This was the first three-day festival where pavilions were at various locations throughout the City of Regina. This was in conjunction with Regina’s 75th anniversary. Attendance: 17,000. Passports: $3.
1992
Celebrated 25 years with a Gala held at the Regina Inn on May 22. Passports: $8.
1997
Celebrated 30 years and launched website: www.mosaicregina.org. Passports: $9.

Celebrated 40 years. 211,000 visits to pavilions. Francophone pavilion breaks world record having 480 people playing the wooden spoons.

Launched Bring a Little Mosaic to You program, partnering with care homes in Regina to bring Mosaic to those who are unable to attend.
