november 2014 Hello and welcome to The Pentecostals of Sydney where you can experience new life in Christ! What a month that we’ve had at the Pentecostals of Sydney! Incredibly stressful and exhilarating at the same time. We’ve rejoiced in the Re-opening of our Church Building and in the following week we saw record attendances with over 1000 people joining us for the services throughout Turning Point. Amazingly, about 24 people received the Holy Ghost and 8 have been baptized in the last two weeks. Praise be to God! And just as wonderful was the ministry of the Holy Ghost throughout the Church with healings, deliverances, restorations and many more. There is a feeling of relief and joy in being back home in our own church. The saints are to be commended for their tremendous work over the last 12 months. Thank you to everyone; who helped with the set up and pack up in our rented venue, who helped in our many ‘Working Bees’, who worked tirelessly to make the Dedication Service and Turning Point the great success that they were. And thank you all for your faithfulness to the things
of God as well as your faithful giving to the ReBuild fund. May God bless you abundantly! All this serves to achieve our 2020 Vision of establishing 2,020 members in this local body alone. As valuable as Turning Point is in bring souls to Christ yet, the majority of our growth comes from the daily and weekly efforts of the saints of God in winning souls, discipleship and ministry. No great event could ever replace the consistent, daily, sacrificial labours of individual saints in preaching the Gospel and making disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15, Matt 28:19). Now that we are back in our building, there are no more excuses. Let us aim to do our very best for the Lord, working to reach and disciple as many souls as we can, one precious soul at a time, before the return of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ. ! ! ! ! ! !

UPCA General Conference 2015 2-7 January 2015 Whitlam Centre, Liverpool, NSW Guest Speakers: Jack Leaman & Raymond Woodward This is a wonderful event that takes place at the beginning of every year. It is a time when people from all around Australia gather for fellowship, worship and inspiration. The Conference takes place right here in Sydney this year so make sure to register. We will also be looking for volunteers for the Conference so please speak to Sis Jena or Bro Greg if you are interested in helping. Rego forms are located at the Welcome Desk
Annual General Meeting Thu, 20 November 2014 7:00pm This month we have our Annual General Meeting to discuss the previous financial year of the church. In order to attend you must be a registered church member. If you would like to become a member the appropriate forms can be found at the Welcome Desk.
AYM Weekend 21 - 23 November 2014 Every year were are blessed with a team of young people for a weekend who are part of the Australian Youth on Missions program. This year the team will be led by Rev Emma Frost. The youth are looking forward to a fantastic weekend full of evangelism, fun and spiritual growth.
Family Sunday Sun, 30 November 2014 10am only When there are five Sundays in one month we combine Morning and Evening Worship. Family Sunday is designed to give you a rest as well as time with your family. Family Sunday is also a great chance for the whole POS to come together. We believe that the church is a family, we are all sons and daughters of God, so this will be a wonderful time for the POS "Family" to spend together in worship of our Lord and Saviour!

We Offer Services in Other Languages We are blessed at the POS to have a very multicultural church. Because of that we offer services and Bible studies in different languages. Sunday school operates every Sunday morning at 10:00am in the Girl Guides Hall in Earlwood. We have classes that accommodate children from 4 to 12 years old. Classes are always fun and exciting so make sure your children are getting the most out of the their visit to the POS.

Recently, we have started a new monthly email that keeps you informed about what is going on at the POS as well as suggesting new music and books. You are also introduced to a special volunteer in the church and much more. If you would like to join it scan the QR code or visit our website.
Life Studies are an enjoyable, non-threatening way to learn more about the Bible. We can meet with you in your home, our home, or a coffee shop. The studies are less than an hour but have the power to change your life. Contact one of our hosts if you would like to start a Life Study.
