CONCEPT The main idea of the territory urban regeneration is the continuity, perfection and revitalization of Vingis park, Tauras Mountain, Lukiskes square, Sereikiskes park and terminal station. The concept of development is based on in-deep analysis of diverse factors and engages a balanced residential, industrial and recreational expantion. Because of the lack of connections, bad quality of the buildings, unclear spaces and unsafe environment the new structure should improve the quality of city and life. The new pedestrian route is created from Taxi Park till the depth of the oldtown towards Tauras mountain. In addition, few squares are formed along Svitrigaila street. The link between two districts is being designed over the railway which functions as a public space as well. BLOCK Multipurpose buildings are
designed for residential, commercial and social. The block is in complicated urban structure and surrounded by heavy traffic streets. Buildings being closest to the streets are used for commercial and social. Inner core mostly is used for housing. Only the ground floor is commercial. The idea of the block structure is based on Pedestrian Avenue splitting it in two different segments. In the center of block is a square where all pedestrians axis meets together. One corner of the square is broken and forms the approach of the underpass which leads to another public park. The accent of public center is protruding console above the square. first floor plan

BLOCK OF FLATS Each apartment building has a clear boundary of the site which is realized by different height. The ground floors of social and commercial buildings are used for restaurants, business, stores, conference halls and etc. Most of the entrances are situated by the square. Each block of flats has different size apartments (from 60 to 160 square meters). Buildings structure is based on living quality where every apartment has its own visual field, balcony or terrace. Two of four sites have inside yard on the ground floor. Entrances to each building are from the courtyard and underground car parking.

3500 - 4000m . The elementary school is located in Vilnius city, Bajoru district. From the east side the territory is surounded by various scale residential houses. three SIDES - three FACADES - three DIFFERENT PURPOSES
14
THE IDEA is to create volume which would be simple and obvious. Three main elements form school: CHILDREN, TEACHERS and PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. The triangle shape reflects all of it. The eastern facade is for teachers which also functions as a wall from the traffiic and nearby urban areas. The southern facade facing towards the meadow is for schoolchildren and represents calmness and concentration. Western side surounded by forrest is for leisure and sports. The inside yard is semi-open area which functions as the main entrance as well. Second floor has its own outdoor playground.

site is situated between two lakes. One of it is local small lake called Vainezeris and the second one is Ancia: long and big connecting with many different lakes and rivers in one big water circle – around 45 kilometers. The landscape of that area slope down to the lake side. That kind of landscape perfect fits for water and recreation sports. Moreover there are numbers of diverse touristic attractions such as old historical manor houses, mounds, remains of the castles and fortifications in neighbourhoods.

CONCEPTION There is one main local road in the territory leading straight to the Ancia lake. Smaller walking paths where living houses are projected are going perpendicular to the main road.
CONFERENCE HALL / RESTAURANT
THE IDEA of the entrance to
the house is like going to the boat. Firstly you walk on the bridge and then from the roof go downstairs inside. Restaurant and conference hall are on the end of the main road. There are two seperate volumes which are standing on the piles. The main bridge of complex is located behind the restaurant. Conference hall is designed more less of glass for experience of floating sense.

THE AIM is to project an eyeglasses store interior in 10 x 10 x 10 meters cube. THE IDEA The eyeglasses store should be clean, calm place where all attention is focused on design of eyeglasses. The main idea of the space is to transform it from three directions: the bottom, one side and top. These three frames are pushed inside as a different floors and the only position where natural or artificial light come from. The vertical connections are outside of the space to create an interior as much clear as it possible. The floor of the second level is transparent to amplify the frame structure in interior.

THE AIM
• to project modern art center as an object which would be contextually involved in urban structure and natural frame • to be conspicuous from the different angles of the area • to become a part of landscape on the right bank of Neris river • to create one more attractive public component on the pedestrian route along the river
Functional structure the main idea of functional structure was to expose exhibition halls as separate visible volumes. Lobby, café area and multipurpose hall are projected, as we call, on the “mound” from where all links with spacious terraces are opened.
Idea The building is in a strong relation with landscape, but as well its neat shape makes it
contrasting. The volume of the building is clearly divided into three height levels. The lower level volume “drowned” into the landscape pushes out the ground up on itself, this way shaping the middle neutral level in the form of mound. There is a spacious terrace created on the top of the lower volume at the same time, which is easily accessible from the main access points of the site. The upper level volume easily lies down on the “mound”, this way compositionally separates from the lower one. Such a decision gives a sense of lightness for a clear solid shape and exposes exhibition halls to the city. The lower “drowned” volume is split in two parts, to reach more related scale for that area.

THE IDEA the site of the projected building is located in the old town, right next to a
noise of high traffic street. In order to avoid the traffic noise the walls along these streets are completely solid without any windows. There is an internal courtyard designed at the same time. Mediatheque consists of two main different blocks which opens into the south side and thus provide the necessary solar insolation. Each floor has a different function.

THE IDEA in the past people had just what they needed. Now we want to have more and more, even what is not necessary. Certainly, we don‘t have to loose everything, a balance shoul be kept (+-). The projected box can learn you to live economically and positively. You just take as much as you can carry. You can go wherever you want carrying your home.
