The Unadilla GNCC Pro ATV Race Report New Berlin, New York, September 10, 2011 National Guard Coastal Yokley Racing Team rider Jarrod McClure finished 7 th Overall and 6th in the XC1 Pro class today. There were 186 total entries including 12 XC1 Pro racers. Summary The heavy rainstorms and flooding that hit the eastern US were a big concern to everyone heading to Unadilla for Round 10 of the GNCC Series. Flooding in New York closed some of the major roads nearby, but the conditions were actually almost perfect at the historic Unadilla MX facility. The Racer Production crew shortened the course to bypass some very wet valley sections, but the remaining track was great, including parts of the AMA National Pro motocross course. Jarrod McClure got a great start, going into the woods in 3 rd place. He passed one rider on the motocross course and finished the first lap in 2 nd. Jarrod had the lead on lap 2 for awhile until Chris Borich passed him. He ran upfront with the top riders for the next several laps. He dropped back a few positions in the last several laps to finish 6th in the XC1 Pro class. The course got pretty rough late in the race with lots of holes and exposed rocks. At the finish, his ATV was weighted down with rocks that were stuck in his skid plate and in the plastic bodywork. The National Guard Coastal Yokley Racing ATV ran strong all day, and Jarrod had no major problems. Jarrod hopped on a commercial flight on Monday morning and headed to California for next weekend’s WORCS race at Glen Helen MX Park in Devore, CA. He will head back to Pennsylvania after that race for the next GNCC race in Somerset, PA on September 24. Thanks for the continued support of all the Yokley Racing Team sponsors! See you at the races!
