MK3 Facing Coat Spray Gun
MK3 FACING COAT SPRAY GUN The MK3 Powertex spray gun is a hand held, hopper fed spray gun primarily designed for the spray application of cement based slurries and mortars plus a wide range of sanded coatings and paints. The gun benefits from being robust, simple to operate and very easy to clean and maintain. The unit comprises a 4.5 litre (1 gallon) capacity hopper, two part gun body, a range of hardened steel “screw in” nozzles and an adjustable air tube. By changing the nozzle size, the position of the air tube and the air pressure different materials with a range of particle sizes can be sprayed to create a wide range of textures. The MK3 Powertex spray gun is ideal for the application of unreinforced mist and facing coats for GRC elements. In general, where the facing coat on a GRC element is a different mix design to the base mix for the GRC, only a small quantity of material is required. The MK3 Powertex gun enables small quantities to be mixed and used without wastage and the need to clean complex equipment such as pumps or other spray equipment. This can also have a significant influence on the economics where costly facing coat materials such as aggregates or expensive colour pigments are used.
