Auto Spray Systems

AUTO SPRAY SYSTEMS The Power-Sprays Auto Spray Systems are used for the large-scale production of GRC panels and other products including permanent formwork, ducts, channels and flat sheet. Auto Spray Systems are designed to suit the requirements of the customer and the intended product line. They are based on tried and tested components and a typical system would comprise of the following elements. Spray Traverse This is designed for maximum flexibility of operation and the gun mounting arrangement, cross head height and stroke length are readily adjustable. Traverses are provided with roving carriers, fibre guides and heavy-duty spray guns with all necessary hoses. The control system is designed for simplicity of operation with off line parking of the spray head and when combined with the variable speed conveyor line the traverse is capable of production of products up to 4metres in width. The traversing spray head has been designed to give virtually instantaneous reversal so that build up at the ends of the stroke are avoided and there is a constant velocity over the whole stroke length allowing very accurate thickness control. Conveyor The system is supplied with both driven and gravity conveyor. The variable speed driven conveyor can be adjusted to give the required thickness and is reversible. Gravity conveyor can be supplied at either or both ends of the driven conveyor to allow easy movement of moulds. Control System A simple to use control system allows the operator to control all elements of the system from a single station. Spray Head The system can be fitted with the standard GRC Concentric Spray Gun or the High Output or Triple Spray Head.

LOSS IN WEIGHT FIBRE MONITORING SYSTEM This monitors the rate of usage of glass fibre allowing accurate control of the glass fibre percentage.

PS10000B PUMP SPRAY STATION The PS10,000 Pump Spray Station is recommended. Based on similar design to the PS9000’s the PS10000’s feature larger rotor/stator pump assemblies for longer life and a more powerful drive and gearbox. The maximum output at full speed with a new rotor/stator is over 100 kg/minute. Thus, there is plenty of speed range to compensate as components wear. There is a “Low level” vibrated material hopper designed for the either manual or mechanical loading. A removable sieve is fitted to filter the material to prevent lumps entering the pump and blocking the spray head. The controls for the pump spray station are incorporated into the main control system.

HIGH SHEAR MIXER The GRC125S High Shear Mixer is recommended. This is a platform-mounted version with a pneumatically operated bottom discharge valve, which can discharge directly into the pump hopper. The mixer can be fitted with water and liquid admixture dispensing systems and cement and sand weighing and batching.
