GRC125 Combination Mixer

GRC125 COMBINATION MIXER FOR SPRAY & PREMIX GRC The GRC 125 Combination mixer is the first mixer that can produce spray grade GRC slurry and also premix GRC without compromise. The unit has a generous 60 litres capacity, which easily accommodates 125kg of material i.e. a mix based on a 50kg bag of cement. It works equally well with a mix based on a 25kg bag of cement. The mixer is supplied with a variable speed (11.0kW) drive via a frequency inverter. This gives a fully variable speed 0-1400 rpm. There is a revolutionary design of the mixing blade, which allows both high shear mixing of the sand/cement slurry at fast speed and blending of the fibre at slow speed. The dry materials loading chute and sealed lid dramatically reduce the amount of dust normally associated with mixing. The mixer is supplied with 2 removable plastic mixing vessels so different coloured mixes can be produced with the minimum of cleaning. A platform mounted version with a steel mixing vessel and a bottom discharge suitable for incorporation into an automatic or semi-automatic batching system is also available. Please ask for details. Specification: Weight:

GRC125-1 High Shear Mixer

GRC125-1 HIGH SHEAR MIXER The GRC 125-1 High Shear Mixer has been designed to match the demand of modern mix designs. The unit has a generous 60 litres capacity, which easily accommodates 125kg of spray grade GRC slurry. Standard units are supplied with a single speed (5.5kW) drive. A further option is a platformmounted version with an all steel mixing vessel (incorporating a bottom discharge valve) for semi and fully automated batching systems. An additional blade and hub are supplied with the GRC125-1 High Shear Mixer. Fitting the second blade makes the mixing of large batched easier when required. Specification: Weight:

GRC125-S Combination Mixer

GRC125-S COMBINATION MIXER FOR SPRAY & PREMIX GRC The new GRC 125S Combi Mixer is the latest in a long distinguished history of specialist mixers for Glass fibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) production from Power-Sprays. The GRC 125S Combi Mixer utilises a unique mixing system researched and developed by Power-Sprays engineers which facilitates high quality mixing for both spray and premix types of Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete. In addition, the design of the mixer has acknowledged customer requirements for easy cleaning and maintenance. Key features include:  Variable speed mixing 0-1400rpm  Powerful 11.2kW 3-phase electric motor.  Flexible capacity from approximately 60Kgs to 125Kg (130 to 260 lbs)  Suitable for preparation of high quality Premix GRC mixes for both Cast and Spray Premix.  High Shear slurry mixing enables the preparation of high quality mixes for traditional “Sprayed” GRC.  Pneumatic Bottom discharge (direct into spray machine when used).  Pneumatic lift/lower mechanism (for motor and mixer lid) for easy cleaning and maintenance. All mixers are supplied mounted on a steel support structures. Platform extensions, access stairs and guardrails together with other accessories can be also be provided. For example:    

Semi-automatic Water, Admixture and Polymer dispensers each with two adjustable preset recipes. (Incorporating the Power-Sprays “HP water wash” system) Dry materials weighing/batching systems. Glass fibre choppers and dispensers. Semi and Fully automated control systems.

Further details are available. Please contact Power-Sprays or your local distributor. The system shown overleaf includes the optional accessories of the platform extensions, access stairs, guard rails, volumetric water dispenser (including the HP Water Wash system), two admixture dispensers and the polymer dispenser.

Automated Batch Mixing Systems for GRC

AUTOMATED BATCH MIXING SYSTEMS FOR GRC/GFRC Power-Sprays’ automated and semi-automated mixing systems have been specifically developed to meet the wide range of applications current in the GRC Industry Worldwide. Using the latest in materials weighing and microprocessor control technology a comprehensive range of plants can be offered for both High Shear mixing of Slurry and Premix GRC/GFRC. Systems can be designed to be either semiautomatic with operator control or fully automatic. Semi-automatic systems are designed so that the quantities of all materials are controlled automatically. The role of the operator is simply to select the individual dry materials and liquids required and to control the mixing and discharge operations. Fully automated systems require the minimum of operator input. The weighing-mixingdischarge sequence is pre-programmed and can be started by either pressing a single button or by a remote sensor. Mix design recipe and mixing sequence information are stored in the control system’s memory. Plants are generally constructed from the basic weighing, mixing and control system modules to suit individual customer requirements. Typical configurations are: Single High Shear Mixer with weighing system and automatic or semi-automatic control system. Twin High Shear Mixer with common weighing system and automatic or semi-automatic control system. Single Premix Mixer with weighing system, multi-roving glass fibre chopper and automatic or semi-automatic control system. Combination Mixing Plant (as illustrated) comprising a High Shear Mixer and a Premix Mixer with common weighing system, multi-roving glass fibre chopper and automatic or semi-automatic control system.
