F O R E W O R D PALAPA PROJECT 2015

Being an Indonesian student abroad is one of the most memorable experiences for me as well as thousands of students in the Great Britain. I have encountered various things beyond my lecture halls, particularly on how the culture in a country plays a great role in representing the national identity.

Organised by: PPI UK in collaboration with PPI Glasgow – Edinburgh Aberdeen

Having lived and interacted with people in the United Kingdom as well as with international students from various parts of the world for several months, many things have made me think that there is a lot of mileage for the creative young generation of Indonesia to introduce and develop their creations in the global arena to compete with the other countries. As a result, Indonesia can be better known by the quality and value of its arts and culture with its unique characteristics. Based on the aforementioned principle, we hold a moral obligation to promote unique Indonesian creativity, initiative and work. We are going to build a platform dedicated for creative people to present Indonesian values, creativity, initiative and craftsmanship. Palapa Project 2015 is our way to expand the network and introduce Indonesia to the global community.
