The Hungarian breakfast consists of:
Different kinds of bread: mainly white bread, fullcorn bread, roll, crescent Baker’s ware
We often eat eggs in various ways:
Ham or bacon and eggs
Fried egg
Boiled egg Srambled egg omlet
Half-boiled egg
A popular food for breakfast is ‘bundás kenyér’ – ‘fried bread’ or ‘bread fritters’
How to prepare it: Beat up 23 eggs with a pinch of salt Put a slice of bread in it and let a little bit soak in the egg Fry them in hot oil until they’re nice brown

Pick salami
Cheese Goat’s milk cheese
Sheep’s milk cheese

‘Körözött’ – a special food Spiced curd
Ingredients: 250 grams of curd (cottage cheese) 50 grams of butter A small onion chopped very fine Salt, cumin, paprika
At fairs or at resorts you can have Fried dough – ‘Lángos’ You can eat it with salt and garlic or with sour cream and grated cheese It’s very delicious – with a lot of calories!
