The factory renovation and expansion features a modern design with a striking steel and polycarbonate facade. The bold steel framework, including cross-bracing, creates a commanding presence, while translucent polycarbonate panels allow natural light to flood the interior and offer a dynamic play of light and shadow. The addition of red accents reinforces the brand’s identity. The layout focuses on efficient product flow, with well-organized storage and production zones that ensure a smooth transition from raw materials to finished products. Flexible spaces and clear pathways are integrated to accommodate future adjustments and evolving needs, ensuring continued adaptability and efficiency.

The LGBTQIA+ Center, a pioneering project by the Naz Foundation in India, is designed as a versatile community space for queer gatherings, including screenings, book readings, and performances, while also offering free counseling and medical advice. Located in a basement, the center balances openness with privacy, catering to both confident and more reserved individuals.
The design features a soft grey palette with durable materials, allowing diverse art displays to shine. A vibrant entrance with rainbowcolored glass blocks sets the tone, while adaptable furniture in the main hall supports various events. Iconic queer phrases on the ceiling and a bright reception desk enhance the inviting atmosphere. An open pantry serves multiple functions, and gender-neutral washrooms add a distinctive touch with terracotta tones and mirrored ceilings. The center’s design ensures a welcoming, adaptable space for all

The hospitality project in Bhimtal, set against the scenic backdrop of Bhimtal Lake, draws inspiration from Japanese design principles to create a unique and serene retreat. The design emphasizes simplicity, natural materials, and a seamless connection with the landscape, setting it apart from traditional Kumaoni architecture. Large windows frame unobstructed views of the lake, while clean lines and minimalist interiors reflect Japanese aesthetics, blending harmoniously with the hilly terrain. This distinctive approach offers guests a tranquil and visually captivating experience, enhancing the natural beauty of the region.

RESIDENTIAL PARCELS
This sign family covers all the nine residential parcels, their amenities and MLCPs along with the integrated retail & clubhouse through a flexible and functional design approach while aligning with the modern architectural design of the different properties.
URBAN STREETSCAPE
This sign family is designed to compliment the contemporary aesthetics of the masterplan design comprising of vehicular as well as pedestrian sign types with the retail street & plaza as its focal point and the use of graphics to highlight the Riverhills branding.
The central park provides both active and passive greens, exclusively for the township residents; catering to their recreational, fitness and work interests. The sign family adds value to the visitor experience and is well suited to the natural environment
RIVERHILLS
Wayfinding & Signage
Area : 40 hectare
Organisation : Lopez Design
Project Date : 2020-2021
We designed an integrated user experience across the various spaces & functions of the township such as residential, retail, sports, recreation, sightseeing etc.
The wayfinding strategy for the township is based on a streets model which minimsed the number of destinations appearing on a particular sign. All built up properties are accessed from one of the four vehicular streets of the township, which serve as ‘connectors’ to the destinations along them.
The public realm gets defined by it’s main street, the Riverwalk , which serves as a ‘connector’ along all the major nodes & plazas. The bridge & chowk serve as landmarks to orient the visitors along the Riverwalk.
The signage system is classified into two master sign families catering to the public & private realms. Within the public realm , three analogous sign families will be designed, allowing the signage system to respond to the different physical contexts while also maintaining a unified design language.
This sign family covers a largely floodable landscape along the accessible Riverfront. A minimal approach to signage with thoughtful scale & material selection would be best suited considering the topography and richness of this ecologically preserved zone
The signage design establishes a cohesive image of the park and communicates a strong sense of place. The signage system is made out of Reclaimed Wood posts, which finely blends into the natural setting. The 6mm thick aluminium pane l curves at 45 degrees , fixed with metal brackets and studs , all of which making the signage unique, humanistic and raw.
Information related to the trails of park like distances to traverse, maps, calories burnt etc, is communicated through color-coded signs which distinguish one trail from another while aiding users with trail identification, distance markers and track maps indicating ‘You are Here’. The colours for the palette were drawn from the local flora, and used in heightened pastel hues that pop out in the landscape.
The riverfront sign family covers the largely floodable landscape along the edge of the Mula River, comprising of the amphitheatre, Riverine Trails, decks and other natural pockets with defined recreational activities. The two trails provide separate linear routes along the upper & lower promenade, with various destinations along the way. A minimal approach to signage was developed for this ecologically preserved setting with orientation provided at main access points to the public & private trails.

Identity + Wayfinding & Signage
The forest of Sikanderpur Pahadi is being restored as an eco-trail by iamgurgaon and given back to the community which will be a pleasure to be discovered & explored on the edge of Gurugram, which was once seen & ignored as a dumping ground.
The wayfinding and signage system is developed which can be implemented across all the forest trails in gurgaon (like badshapur corridor , wazirabad bundh , sikandarpur pahadi etc)
The wayfinding system for Sikandarpur Pahadi follows a ‘landmarks model. These would include the access points or gates as well as the other significant destinations within the site like mandir, ponds etc. The signage design, derived from the identity designed by Lopez Design, will be made out of Construction and Debris waste.

Wayfinding & Signage
We strategized behaviour change through design for Chakkarpur-Wazirabad Bundh restored and developed by iamgurgaon into a green corridor with walking & cycling tracks. A detailed observational study was done to come up with a series of communications and wayfinding, and proposed cyclical reviews to measure their effectiveness long term.
Building a sense of belonging to minimise social and environmental impact. When placed in a clear context, communications can influence and impact visitors’ behaviour in a public space. We approached our audience by centering on the user’s thoughts and aspirations for Chakkarpur-Wazirabad Bundh. We conceptualised the phrase ‘My Eco-Trail’ in multiple languages to give a sense of belonging, ownership, respect and trust to the visitors.
RAWAT’S RESIDENCE

Project Date : 2016-2020
Rawat’s Residence is our adaptation of a Kumaon house built reusing the stone, roof slate and timber from the exisiting house and site.
The helical staircase expressed as a circular turret on the north facade is an interesting contribution.
T he internal staircase is not an element in traditional kumaon architecture and so integrating it into the built form let it stand out, dominating the facade and bringing character, accentuating the symmentry and also serves as a venting stack.

Adaptive Reuse of a Village house into a Learning Centre and Office for Commmunity Work.
The design was concieved to create a new language for architecture and experience for the people of Bhojraj. The architecture of addition is always a challenge, and more so in far off rural setups where organised contractors are absent.
We converted a single floor house, facing the main chowk of Bhojraj village, into a camp office for administrative work and outreach. The design was conceived as a series of interventions that could be added or layered onto the existing single floor structure as a sequence of activities that could be carried out by small time vendors. Reinforced concrete, exposed brick and steel construction were used and expressed with the idea of merging the old and new.

MOZAMBIQUE PRESCHOOL
Design Competition Entry - December 2019
The brief required us to build a Center for children with disabilities and affected by social exclusion. The design attempts at leveraging already existing building skills, and resource and manpower, non- mechanized model of construction to deliver a building without the use of specialized tools and heavy machinery.
Visualizing the school as a labor of love and the work of humans hands, the design relies on a combination of repeating patterns and simple construction techniques, to arrive at a sense of place that would be effortless to assimilate into, and would generate a sense of belongingness. The school is to be built largely by volunteers thus uses load bearing masonry to avoid the need for deep excavation and extensive foundation work. Construction is based on the use of 290 x 290mm and 290 x 140mm CEB.
