Affordable Housing hits 2508 cities in India Every country aims sustainable development and they achieve it with time. How many nations are as immense as India? As versatile as India? India is second largest country after China by population and the most populous democracy in the world. There always remains a great difference between promising a scheme and implementing it. Many Government leaders and bodies plan and promise dreams to its citizens but very few are being implemented and achieved. The step taken by our Pradhan Mantri Mr. Narendra Modi for EWS and LIG categories now seems attainable. We can see progress each year for building affordable houses. PM Awas Yojana aims to provide houses to urban poor by 2022. This housing for all schemes will cover almost 2,508 cities in 26 states as informed by Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said during Question Hour. Prime Minister's Scheme for Affordable Housing will help in rehabilitation of slum areas as Government and private sector will work together in construction of more affordable houses.
The beneficiaries of the Housing for all schemes are less privileged people who are incapable to own a pukka house in a decent condition for themselves. And these people are basically living under EWS and LIG categories in urban establishments of the country.
The Vision includes modern construction technology and sub-mission is to assist states for embracing layout designs and fresh building plans apposite for a variety of geo-climatic zones. Also, they should use disaster resistant and environment friendly green technologies for the construction of Affordable Homes.
In India development has two sides like a coin, where one is growing at a very fast pace and other side is going down every day. The first side is urbanization that is trailing everyday with new technology and modernization. While the other side is under developed, poverty stricken that is crippling the growth of our nation. To raise the standard of the less privilege section of the society Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is an initiative towards overall growth. The primary objective for our Government now should provide homes to the homeless which is the basic necessity for a human survival.
