When the new Longmont United Hospital was going up in 1957, the auxiliary wanted some new, fun methods of raising money to help furnish the rooms and service areas. Since some of the people had experience putting on plays, the idea was born to create Longmont Theatre Co. The theater has obtained what few small-town theatres can –longevity. Because of its quality acts and a loyal fan base, Longmont Theatre’s audience continues to expand.
