THE END
BEGINNING & SYNOPSIS As we all know that India is country which is completely filled with different types of cultures which has divided into zones like south culture zone, north cultures, east etc. they are classified so based on region, architectural style, religion, literature, art, painting styles, dance, drama, music, performing arts, crafts, fashion, dresses, languages, custom food etc. detailed study of all these overlapping factors, gives the clear overall pictures of an Indian culture.
Aim :-
Objective :-
To design a multipurpose cultural hub using architecture as a catalyst for the development of vanishing cultural values and creating a small tourist centre.
• • •
What is cultural centre …..? A cultural hub or cultural centre is an organization, building or complex that promotes culture and arts. Cultural centres can be neighbourhood community arts organizations, private facilities, government sponsored.
•
Scope :Why multipurpose…..? its going to have various different activities apart from cultural centre like it will also have a shooting are, workshop area, guest houses, dormitories, open restaurant, banquet hall, game zones etc.
Justification………. As I am the resident of Chhattisgarh, know very well that the lower most part of this state comes under the naxalite area so just because of it there is no various urban level development were held, like there are no good restaurants, hotels, commercial complexes, housing societies etc. that area is just rurally developed the people of upper most part they don’t want to come and settle down there.
• •
Limitation :-
MULTI PURPOSE CULTURAL CENTER
• •
Major intention is to use and utilize the old architectural style and cultures of complete Chhattisgarh region. Also need to focus towards the influence of M.P culture( because it was the part of Chhattisgarh) With respect to the overall expenses, utilization of locally available material should be more. In overall design and construction, their must be a scenario of complete involvement of social & cultural values of that particular region with the help of local labours only.
To create a small tourist hub in baster region to enhance the tourism of Chhattisgarh and also to make that place familiar with one and all. To increase the tourism statistic, and also the future urban development.
Only focusing towards Chhattisgarhi cultures, architecture styles, art & crafts and their local materials in small scale of land. Not much focussed about services and high rise construction.
So this can be a reason if their will be a cultural hub or a tourist place which can attract people and force them to come here.

SOME IMPORTANT FEATURES •
THE SIDE DIAGRAM SHOWS THE STEPS OF METHODOLOGY .
•
PICTURE DIPICTS THE CULTURES OF CHHATTISHGRH AND PAINTING.
•
THERE IS A MUCH NEED OF A MAKING A CULTURAL CENTER IN THIS CITY.
•
NOT MUCH FOCUSSED ON STRUCTURAL PART OF BUILDING.
SITE STUDY
There are also some small picnic spots around that particular area, so I thought that designing a cultural hub (showing the cultures of Chhattisgarh) over there will be good option for the attraction of tourist and economy of tourism can be raised.

MANY NEGATIVE SPACE WERE OCCURRED DUE TO CONCEPUTAL DESIGN AND IRRIGULAR CLUSTER PATTERNS SOME TO THAT NEGATIVE SPACE WERE USED AS WATER COOLERS, CHILLERS OR EITHER DUSTBINS. MAINTENANCES IS SO MUCH NECESSARY TO SITE WHICH HAS SO MANY ELEMENTS. THIS KIND OF PLACE AND SPACES PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN PROMOTING TRADITIONAL VALUES IN CITY. IN SHOPS AND STALLS THE BACK PARTS WERE NOT SOLD BECAUSE PEOPLE AVOIDE GOING AT THE END. SMALL DETAILS IN LANDSCAPING WERE TOO GOOD AND MAINTAINED. THE TRENCHES AND WATER SOAKING PIPES WERE INSTALLED AND DESIGNED AS PER THE CONCEPT.

After entering person has 2 choices whether to go to the museum display or to the warehouse. After entering the main museum circulation path has been defined to make visitors go to through the same passage and experience the whole museum. A separate passage way has been defined for the peoples with the office related work. Special care has been taken for the movement of the physically challenged visitors. A central area for seating for the fatigue. Central area was created around the small manmade lake with ducks. Making the view quite relaxing.

Best thing about the tribal museum was its way of displaying tribes and different cultures people can actually touch the sculptures. They can feel the material. All the sculptures and other shows casing things were created by tribal people them selves using the basic and old techniques. As there were no rare things in display so there was no requirement of the lab instead of that there was a warehouse made for the restoration of those displays Larger and bigger halls provides the sufficient space to display big things and yet making the circulation easy.

REINTERIPRITATION OF MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
THESIS SESSION
VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE is a category of architecture evolved on local needs, construction materials and reflect local traditions. It tends to evolve over time to reflect the environmental, cultural, technological, economic, and historical context in which it exists. But has often been dismissed as crude and unrefined, but also has proponents who highlight its importance in current era.
SHEET 22 MATERIALS USED & TECHINIQUES
DANTEWADA is a place located in the lowermost part of state Chhattisgarh. This place belongs to a part of bastar region but it doesn't comes under Naxalite area. Generally Dantewada is not so developed city still the construction style show the vernacularism of bastar region.
SOME IMPORTANT POINTS
The general materials used are Redland clay tiles for roofing, mud dried walls, brick jail and brick punctures, locally available woods and bamboos etc.
•
•
The roof was made up of dried and burned clay tiles which is completely reinterpreting Redland clay tiles to give a vernacular touch. The entrance block has brick jail which is also a part of vernacular means and also that’s helping in proper air ventilation.
•
