ABOUT A diligent, aspiring architecture student, currently in the fourth year seeking a position as an architectural intern in a firm that provides an exigent and exciting work environment that allows me to contribute equally to the firm and my career. My interest lies in traveling, exploring the richness in culture and blend among people to change my approach and achieve top-notch skills as an architect. My passion for architecture is the belief that it has a life-changing impact on far apart communities and people. My attempt in making architectural designs aims for a valuable asset and is achieved only when every single piece is appreciated and celebrated by people who use and experience it.

HIGH-RISE TOWERS COMMERCIAL RE-DEVELOPMENT AT MG ROAD. YR: 4 I 2019 BANGALORE, INDIA. >MAIN FOCUS / CONCEPT : _creating a mixed use space _adopting a sustainable design strategies and solutions _negotiating the complex issues of bye-laws, program, site form in a specific urban context.

>The challenge was to create a high rise tower in the middle of central Bangalore which consists of both retail / commercial and office spaces. It was designed by following the strict rules and regulations / Bye-laws by the local municipal authority. From private and public. Both external and internal space taken into consideration.

- PREVAILING WINDS 02

CONCEPT / DESIGN APPROACH

SITE PLAN

SOLIDS

VOIDS

site plan I scale: 1/250

The exterior is inspired by the shape of the Jenga game/ blocks. It brings a sense of solids and voids within the structure for maximum use of natural light and ventilation. The structure aims at maximum utilization of wind and air, making it a sustainable space/building.

PROJECT NAME & LOGO Displacement of solids and voids in different distances. The name and logo were created and designed by featuring a famous visionary and actor named Dr. Shanakarnag from Bangalore. Who was prominent in all the fields in the late '90s. Also, there is an existing theatre established by him on the site named "Rangashankara'.

DESIGN APPROACH / STRATEGIES

ZONING DIAGRAM

- THEATRE AREA - PARKING AREA RESPONSE TO SITE

SUSTAINABILITY APPROACH

- FOOD COURT - OFFICE AREA

The gaps between the surrounding buildings allows smooth wind flow throughout the building Differnt height allows for more wind exposure

- RETAIL AREA

Healthy approach in increasing the wellness of the occupants. The orientation and materials used allows for thermal comfort of the occupants.

Maximizing the views on all sides of the building

EXPERIENCING SPACE

VISUAL CONNECTION

SECTION

Created a barrier where one cannot access the driveway directly, an only visual connection can happen. The bushes/landscape elements help in reducing traffic noise and reduce pollution. It can also be used as a sitting space/gathering space for the students or people who pass through this lane. Space is usually shaded because of the orientation of the office tower and the surrounding buildings.

The natural sloped site helps to divide the functional parts into two, for commercial/retail and office space. The level at +3.0 m is where the entrance for the Mall and theatre is placed and the level at 0.0 m on the Residency roadside is where the office entry is provided concerning the nature of users and traffic on site.

The main focus for the selection of materials was based on reducing the carbon footprint of the building. for the current scenario where 36% of carbon is emitted by the buildings, I have focused on reducing the same by using locally available materials like terracotta jaali walls and steel sections. The slab and walls are constructed by using a total sustainable material named B-Core slabs which are precast and are easily workable.

SPORTS ACADEMY MULTI SPORTS ACADEMY. YR: 3 I 2018 BANGALORE, INDIA. >MAIN FOCUS / CONCEPT : _creating a Multi sports and residential campus. _Seamless transition between each spaces within the campus. _Placing of blocks in an appropriate way.

>The challenge is to create sports, wellness and a rehabilitation center within the given area following the bye-laws. Along with a design reflecting the context, climatology factors, scale, volume, and function. Providing a major green cover in the heavy dense traffic-congested area was one of the major aspects of this design.

SITE PLAN

Section s-s '

CONCEPT / DESIGN APPROACH

DISPERSSED WAY OF PLANNING

2020

The concept follows a dispersed way of placing the blocks according to the existing surroundings of the site. The more noisy part of the site towards the periphery or northwest side has been placed with stadiums of cricket, football, and hockey as it holds a huge crowd from 300 to 500 seaters. The adjacent part of the southwest side has mixed residential and commercial factories which houses the indoor sports facility which emits less noise when compared to the outdoor sports complex., hence the low noise areas towards the southwest side is housing academic blocks and residential blocks for students. The site is provided with heavily dense vegetation which disperses the surrounding noise level by absorbing them. Since the site is at an area where there is less green cover the site has been provided with more vegetation.

ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO

The name and logo were created and designed by using Corel Draw X7. The project is dedicated to the Indian football Legend and Arjuna Awardee I.M. Vijayan, in the late '90s, whose contributions to the respective field has been forgotten lately.

PROJECT NAME & LOGO

The pathway is 8 m wide which can be used as a two-way road. The design follows the Bye-laws made by the local municipal authority by proving setbacks on all the sides of the site.

LOW RISE APARTMENTS MASS HOUSING. YR: 2 I 2017 BANGALORE, INDIA. >MAIN FOCUS / CONCEPT : _creating a Residencial apartment for IT working crowd. _Proper light and air ventilation throughout the complex and houses. _Safe playing area for kids and a proper club house with swimming pool for people of all ages.

> The challenge is to create a Residential apartment block for IT people, within the given small area following the bye-laws. Along with a design reflecting the context, climatology factors, scale, volume, and function. The major aspect of the design was to provide the residences with proper air and light ventilation by placing the blocks in an appropriate manner with community spaces and common areas within.

CONCEPT / DESIGN APPROACH The concept follows the amalgamation of squares as they create an opportunity for equal spacing between each plane, which in turn helps to achieve proper natural ventilation throughout the block. The orientation of the blocks was made with respect to the orientation of the site. A - Basic Square B - Arrangement of Square plane C - Amalgamation of Square plane D - Equal distributed space & ventilation

SITE PLAN

PROJECT NAME & LOGO

The name and logo were hand-sketched with respect to the conditions of the blocks. Since all the Apartment blocks were well ventilated the name comes as 'The Light House'. The logo is a house within which a lighthouse emits light.
