ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO PRANSHU JOSHI | 2019 - 2022
PRANSHU JOSHI I am a Third year architecture student at The Institute of Architecture, Nirma University. This portfolio articulates my understanding and learning of my journey in Architecture. I am a great observer and a team player. For me growing in this field is by learning from others and through practical knowledge. 01/06/2001 +91 8320318900 pranshu.joshi28@gmail.com 19bar072@nirmauni.ac.in Gandhinagar , Gujarat English | Hindi | Gujarati

PROGRAMME The programme was to design low cost housing scheme in Ahmedabad. The site was located near a lake, in a densely populated area of the city. The design brief was that there has to be three different types of units, small, medium and large. The towers are 10-12 floors high and there are respectively 11 towers spread across the site. The site is facing the lake and there is a main road adjoining the site

2. THE PROCYON SCHOOL MATERIAL STUDIO SEMESTER 3 | 2020 SITE - DUNGARPUR , RAJASTHAN SITE AREA - 1600 SQ.M MATERIAL - CONCRETE
PROGRAMME The programme was to design a school in the suburb, the context is of a village and there is a main road at the front side of the site, the site also has a natural contour of 2m. The brief was to design a school for std. 1 to 8 and it should have a sufficient amount of open space for playground.

SITE PLAN
SITE PLAN The idea of using hexagon was derived from the beehive. To make the school look playful and interactive for small kids I have given a hyperbolic paraboloid roof as well as curve staircase at the centre of the school. The roof creates a different aura in the classroom making it a very pleasant environment to study. Here the primary classes are at the ground floor and secondary classrooms are at the first floor.

3. AQUILA SPORTS CENTRE INSTITUTION STUDIO SEMESTER 5 | 2021 SITE - BHIDOSA, MADHYA PRADESH SITE AREA - 21000 SQ.M MATERIAL - EXPOSED BRICK AND CONCRETE
PROGRAMME The programme was to design a small scale sports centre in village Bhidosa. The sports centre consisted of a huge multi games hall. An open field had to be given for athletes and outdoor games. There was a long tree line in the centre of the site and also a depression i n the site which is converted into a lake.

BUILDING SECTION
The main Idea behind this design was to make it look comfortable for the villagers so I decided to give pitched roofs and courtyards covered with manglore tiles. Bowstring truss is also used to cover the multi games hall.
