PLAN

SECTION AA’

UNDERSTANDING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ARTICULATING HORIZONTAL, VERTICAL AND OVERHED PLANES 1

PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN 1.HARMONY - Togetherness of objects. 2.SYMMETRY - Repitation of a pattern in one or more axis. 3.REPITATION - Reoccurance of an element to form a pattern. 4.RHYTHM - Flow of a sequential pattern. 5.CONTRAST - The striking feature in the composotion. 6.AXIS - Follows a particular direction. 7.HIERARCHY - Something that stands out in pattern.

CUBE COMPOSITION - Total 15 cubes of size 60x60x60 mm each are used to create this composition. Two sections are taken to create interior spaces and some activity is given to each block and for vertical connections staircase are used. 2

URBAN INSERT -

For urban study Jayanagar 4th block was selected and in study it is found that PM Swimming pool (jayanagar pool) is decommissioned, but actually there is need of swimmimg pool so this project is about Redevelopment of swimming pool with other sports facilities.

ROOF PROFILE

Inspiration for the roof profile is from the how fish or quatic animals and swimmer swim in water.

VIEWS

Welcoming the user group with the central plaza and providing the acces to the green spcaes from the central plaza . Covering the south and west side of the swimmimg pool by L shape building blocks , it also gives the good views of the swimming pool. From the seating area one can have the views of the swimming pool as well as jayanagar park and from the upper floors projecting balconies also one can gets the views of the swimming pool and jayanagar park. Connecting the sports complex with the existing jayanagr park and proving entry the from the park through pargola structures.

3

Providing the good views of swimmimg pool as well as jayanagr park which at the rare side of the site , the jayanagar park not only give the good views but also good for preveling winds , good smell, and provide the comfortable environment to the user group.

SCHOOL DESIGN - The thought of designing

this school was that providing intermediate courtyard between two class rooms for light and ventilation. Public spaces like Auditorium, Skill development centre and Indoor sports complex are zoned next to main road so that it can be used by other user groups once the school hours are over and the school can create revenue through that.

INTERIOR DESIGN THEME -RECYCLED TYRE

Old tires are a beautiful material for DIY projects. Green building on a small budget outdoor and interior decorating Unique furniture, decor accessories, yard decorations sheds, staircases, fences and walls built with used tires are fantastic ways to reuse and recycle. Recycling car or bike tires can be simple, easy and attractive. Recycling is what everyone can do while creating unique designs and eco-friendly products for home decorating Discarded car tires are an eyesore but can transform into something attractive and functional Decorative walls steps, whimsical light fixtures or planters, and even bathroom sinks are just a few ideas to reuse and recycle tires in a creative way.
