A 8th semester architecture student from Faculty of Architecture, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka. An ambitious designer aspiring to augment urban issues through design. I’m currently working on my thesis project redevelopment of a Farmer’s Market, which aims to not only create a sustainable zero net energy public infrastructure, but also readdresses the way the public looks towards these spaces.

The project was to design a single user space for a college student. Through the project the importance of correlating space with activity was learnt.

The design accommodates the various activities of a college student, through the introduction of levels into the form. And by segregating the spaces with regards to the lighting levels required.

• The placement of fenestration decreased from east to west. With east having the most direct light and west has diffused lighting.
CLOCK INSTALLATION 3RD SEMESTER DESIGN STUDIO
The project aims at designing an installation in Kamath circle(KC), Manipal. KC is a student hub and a main junction between the hostel, college and the main road. The space supports multiple activities for students. The installation was inspired by the concept of RUSH . It depicts the activeness of the student and the strong their community. The clock relates to the significance of time in KC.
TRIANGULAR CLOCK KC being a very active zone and the crowd passes through the plaza at the most peak times. The clock is 3-sided so it surrounds the 3 sides converging at KC
CHAIN It is symbolic of the student population and their creativity, represented by making a unstable chain stand straight up.
JUMPING JET Low level jumping jet water fountain surrounds the clock within 2m radius with up lighting for the clock, creates microclimate.
GATEWAY DESIGN 4TH SEMESTER DESIGN STUDIO
The project was to design a temporary gateway for Udupi on the occasion of Paryaya. Paryaya is a religious festival which takes place in Sri Krishna Matha. The gateway will be positioned at the main entrance point of Udupi. People from surrounding towns approach Udupi from this particular road. Materials used were vernacular to represent the history of the occasion
• The design was inspired by peacock fins which form an important part of Paryaya festival in Udupi.
• The concept of multiple layers of fin was applied on the basic design of the gateway which had three intersecting points.
• The structure was then modified to fit into the context. It was done by using Jute and Bamboo.

• The closed area of the structure is meant for sleeping with cross ventilation. Since its surrounding is well shaded the place is cool. • Individual toilets are provided.
ART MUSEUM 5TH SEMESTER DESIGN STUDIO
The project was to design an abstract art gallery for 300 users. The site was located in Koregon Park, Pune. The art gallery was designed in a manner which breaks the formality experienced in a traditional museum. It includes spaces for interaction between the artist and the observer. Thereby, creating a better understanding of the art viewed. Apart from the display of the artist works, the gallery will hold workshops promoting the art. It facilitates the artist to present live art.

DANCE AND MUSIC ACADEMY 6TH SEMESTER DESIGN STUDIO
The project was to design a dance and music academy for 200 people in the metro city of Dharwad The entire project was done using prefabricated technology. Site faces kalegeri Lake on the west side. The aim of the concept was to lead all spaces toward the nature. It is achieved by using the good view from the lake and landscaping done between built forms. Thereby, providing serene ambience for the students to be able to practice their art forms.

• The concept of the design is implemented by integrating built spaces to its surroundings • Creating pods of interaction between two built forms
The hostel block is semi- prefab. It is made of 64 modular 3x5 m concrete boxes Corridor 3m wide made on-site. Pre-fab staircase
A main access runs along the length of the site which then has sub-circulation paths
Pre fabricated cubes are attached to each other using a lap joint.
Between any two built forms there is an informal interaction space provided encouraging outdoor activities.

The project was to redevelop Car Street located in Mangalore. Redevelopment was designed for the 2kilometres stretch along the Car Street Road. Starting from the main temple located at the intersection till the bus stop. This stretch covers 8 temples, and the street is a prominent landmark for festivals in the city. The basic principle of the master plan for redevelopment of the car street project is to make the historic core a walkable precinct, develop a pedestrian plaza/ promote use of public transport/ conserve the heritage monuments and make this place a true cultural centre of Mangalore. The plaza is designed for devotees to rest. It is made to depict the cultural richness in terms of architecture.

URBAN DEVELOPMENT
CULTURAL CENTRE 7TH SEMESTER DESIGN STUDIO
The project was to redevelop the existing flower market as part of the urban development of car street. The structure was supposed to represent the tradition that the street holds. The project consists of flower market and a cultural centre. The planned heritage walk passes through the centre. So the concept of the design was to let the tourist experience the grand festival of car street as they pass through the site. Tourist pedestrian path – designed to suit the heritage walk path.
Local pedestrian entry – side entry directly in to flower market
The concept follows the 7-day celebration of the car street festival in Mangalore. Since the heritage walk passes through the cultural centre, the path is designed as a gallery depicting the entire celebration process of the festival.

The festival is divided in to 4-stages • 1-3- deity is placed in the mandap • 4- the deity is decorated with bow and arrow • 5- deity is presented with jewels and food • 6-7-The deity is adorned with flowers and procession takes place.
