ABOUT ME
I define myself as a budding architect whose goal is to make an impact with my desire to learn and implement my learning for the betterment of society. Academics has taught me that every detail matters and that all those small details lead to a masterpiece. Growing up in a practical and logical environment, my desire to question and comprehend the changing world and sustain society led me to pursue a career in architecture.

The Thesis project aimed to find/ create open space in the urban context of mumbai while juxtaposing the current and future economimc and instrastural development. Mills of Mumbai which had a history of one and a half century were inderused and unutilised. The approach was to adaptive reuse of theses mills and repurpose them to fulfil the current infrastructural needs of the city. Concept of Metamorphosis of defunct mills which me presents the evolution of the structure.
The project revolved aroundTransit Oriented Development in a highly active node at chembur. The site had various transportation facilities in its vicinity like Mono Rail, Metro , Bus stand, Ricksaw stands and Railway station which made it highly congested zone. THe design approach corresponds to various physial and social barriers in and around the site, providing a solution based perspective to the issues while keeping future development into consideration.
Design approach adopts and explores modernist concept of architecture following basic principles of modernism such as “less is more” and “form follows function” with sensitivity towards context and environment. A minimal form exploring open and closed spaces with play of light and shadow which would enhance the structure and spacial value and experiencial quality.

Process model 5 was selected as the final massing for the structure as it complimented my design sense and idealogies. It created a play of open ,Semi-open and closed spaces WHICH complimented the building as well as the context around allowing and welcoming people to enter from all sides and access the building THROUGHOUT.

The PIXEL Housing project located at the edge of sindhi society, Chembur, provides housing for various users such as working professionals, students, and families that have migrated to the city. The project has been moulded around the site while preserving the already existing vegetation. It provides interactive spaces not only for its residents but also for the neighbour. Its overlapping modules create pockets on every floor which allows maximum cross ventilation and day lighting and those spaces are used for programs such as gardening and communal pockets, etc. The location of the project enables its users to be easily connected to the city.

Studio project focused on creating of elemental pyau(drinking water station) in the rich cultural and social context of Jodhpur which also creates a juxtaposition between the old and new. Proposed Pyau is abstracted from a Rajasthani Turban which primarilily provides shade from the scrotching heat of the context. The abstracted form takes inspiration from the swirls and knots of a turban pivoted along two nodes which anker the structure in place. A bold attempt to merger an organic form in the closed down alleys of jodhpur which creates a sense of curiosity while also acts as an installation which encourages voluntary participation of the locals and sense of belonging and responsibility.
PYAU- IN A JODHPUR CHOWKEvery strand is then pivoted down on the plot and extensions bulging outwards
SectionThe Urban design studio was conducted with a focus on the principle of Green Mobility. A case area of 2.9 kms was identified from kurla to VES Campus area to help relate students to the Urban transportation issues faces by them on daily basis. The case area was divided into 4 stretches based on the urban form and changing nature of the street. Mapping and understanding different urban layers that make up urban space. Site observastion and surveys helped to identify the stakeholders and understand how users navigate and interacct with the urban form and its imoact on their behaviour. Applying methods and techniques of analysis to understand the crowd density, vehicular count and area of comfort zone.

Project consist of three sub projects that are Auditorium at Saputara, Refurbuishment of Sunrise Point & Redevelopment of Sunset Point.
Sunset Point Saputara consist of redvelopment of plaza space with addition of food court, admin and toilet blocks. To create an obstruction free path from the plaza to the observation deck. The observation desk consist of an amphitheatre, bandstand and a sundial which is the focal point of the project.
Saputara Sunrise point consist of refurbuishment of exisiting landscape and retroffiting of walkways, trails and other elements. Aim is to revive the parking area with addition of multiple amenities for people to engage.
The Auditorium project aims to design and construct a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a venue for various events such as concert, lectures, theatrical performances, and other public gatherings. The facility will be a single story structure with multipurpose spaces.
Square was shaped to made a semi solid block of alternate corners which is forms like a three dimensional window. This block module is repeated adjacent and one above other creating a pattern of angularly arranged blocks which gives a sense of movement upwards the form formed is a network of minute framed structures which gives sense of flight.
