Pratt Institute’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) provides high-quality credit and noncredit courses and programs to the nontraditional student in a variety of subjects for educational advancement, career change, and enrichment. SCPS students obtain the necessary tools to stay ahead in today’s competitive workplace, expanding upon and sharpening their skill set to advance their career goals.
Every fall, spring, and summer term, our courses are offered at our Manhattan location in Chelsea and on Pratt’s main campus in the historic Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. Creative Writing, Painting and Drawing, Industrial Design, and Interior Design are now being offered. A portfolio development course is also available. Choose either the fall or spring semester. Classes will take place on ten Saturdays at Pratt Institute’s Manhattan campus with a final exhibition hosted at the Institute’s Brooklyn campus. PreCollege credit tuition rate is at a 38 percent discount of normal Pratt tuition. Earned credits are transferable. Summer Intensives Every summer, Pratt Institute welcomes college students and adult learners to an immersion learning experience in the creative field of their choice for college elective credit, through our summer credit intensives, or noncredit, through a selection of programs designed for students interested in completing professional development during the summer.
