EDUCATION
Architecture was always something I was certain of growing up. It became a portal, expanding my horizons and deepening my understanding of the world. I am committed to ensuring that my studies and practice in architecture are both empathetic and contextually informed. My passion for architecture has not only deepened my understanding but also accelerated my ability to master essential tools. I am eager to further enhance my skills and knowledge through this internship opportunity.

This residential project was a delightful endeavor, allowing us the freedom to select our user group. I chose to design a residence for an old family passionate about reading and writing. Thus the concept was inspired from the stories discussed by the client.
He was fond of a bohemian novelist Frans Kafka where his stories could see several spatial recurrents which were identified and interpreted using a combination of theories from three areas architecture , psychoanalysis and literature.
This user-specific design embodies a grunge aesthetic, thoughtfully crafted diffused light ensuring and creating a serene, inviting atmosphere. This blend of style and functionality not only caters to the family’s literary pursuits but also transforms their home into a sanctuary of inspiration and comfort.
The dining space acts as the lungs of the entire residence spilling life into the rest of the surrounding spaces and expanding vistas for the rest of the household.
Bangalore being the second largest metropolitan city in India has changed drastically over the years with better infrastructure and amneities but a seemingly distant community growth. A vision of urban design centered around “closeness” aims to create an interconnected, vibrant, and sustainable urban environment where people can live, work, and play in close proximity, fostering a sense of community and enhancing overall quality of life.
It can serve as a sustainable model in transforming the way people live in.

“Bringing People Close” entails designing spaces and events that encourage social interaction and community building, such as pedestrian-friendly streets, communal gathering spots, and public events, fostering face-to-face connections among residents.
”Close to Culture” focuses on creating spaces and events that celebrate cultural expression and appreciation, fostering a deeper connection to the community’s diverse heritage through cultural market spaces, and institutions.
”Close to Nature” integrates green spaces, parks, and sustainability into urban development, promoting well-being and environmental responsibility by reconnecting community with nature.
”Close to Their Interests” focuses on providing spaces and resources that allow residents to pursue their hobbies and passions, improving their overall quality of life.
Enhance pedestrian experience through continuous , walkable friendly streets.
Create commercial hubs with footpath spaces for diverse spill over activities.
Multiple pathways to a point. Transition from enclosed spaces to open areas providing diverse physical experience.
The theme assigned to my team and me for our S8 Urban Design Studio project was “Commons in a Street Market.” During our educational trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we had the opportunity to study various street markets in the city and ultimately selected Pasar Pudu as our project site.
The site was conceptualized to incorporate both wet and dry market sections, shophouses, arcades, a revered Chinese shrine, and a designated library space. It is within this setting that I have been entrusted with designing an open space for this vibrant locale.
Encapsulates the vision for an urban park set in the center of Pasar Pudu, providing a serene oasis amidst the bustling market. This park encourages visitors to observe the vibrant surroundings, explore the natural and cultural elements, and respect the environment and community. By fostering mindfulness and appreciation, the park aims to enhance the overall market experience, promoting a deeper connection between people and their shared space.
Movement is designed in a layout which makes it an experience to walk through the open space amidst the busy market context. The open space movements are slow paced making it a direct contrast from the surrounding building context. The pathways are lined with lush greenery and thoughtfully placed benches, inviting pedestrians to take a moment to rest and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Pause points created transformes the simple walk into an engaging journey.
Life of basheer wasn’t as easy as he wrote. The temporal and spatial dimensions in his works dissolve and reach back to a primal space and primal eternal time. One could experience the minute knowledge of human heart , its high imagination and wide experience of the world. His works gave us an understanding of evil as an organic part of creation.
Parking is provided in the basement, with preferential parking allocated on the southern side. Given its high accessibility, the library will be strategically positioned at the northern end of the site. The building’s design will allow for flexible opening and closing to accommodate both day and night access. Multiple entry points will be provided to serve different user groups efficiently. The design also integrates views of the sculpture-rich walkway leading to the site and the lakeside, thereby enhancing the library’s experiential quality.
This installation was completed as part of a vertical design studio project. Collaborating with junior team members proved to be a valuable experience. In addition to instructing them on rendering and illustrations, I gained insights into diverse thinking processes and perspectives from the team.
The spatial narrative is the storytelling potential of architecture. It describes how the experiential process of moving through built spaces and decoding messages that are embodied in architecture can influence the perceiver spiritually and emotionally and go beyond the physical traits of the structure designed.
I had the oppurtunity to design an App prototype for the 65th ANC at Lovely Professional University , Punjab. This was part of a worskshop conducted by Ar Ashutosh Jha on UI-UX design. It was a collaborative project with my teamate Anshika Khurana from World University of Design , Haryana. The app was designed to help inform the delegates on the upcoming events and navigate oneself inside the campus.

Participating in the Fashion Trophy competition for the 65th ANC NASA was a highly valuable experience for me and my team. My contributions in art direction was a significant aspect of my involvement. This opportunity allowed me to learn and grow as a team.
