The whistle blows for your first stop at the Mid-Continent Railway Museum, an outdoor history museum and operating railroad in North Freedom. The museum recreates, preserves and interprets “The Golden Age of Railroading.” Excursions based on the time of year include “Autumn Color,” “Pumpkin Special,” “Santa Express,” “Snow Train,” “Stars and Stripes” and “Vintage Rail Car Tours.”

Built on a chimney of rock in Spring Green, The House on the Rock is one of Wisconsin’s most iconic attractions with the world’s largest collection of collections, including the world’s largest carousel with all kinds of animals but no horses!
