Come Play in the Park –

Chicago Week 2010 in Park City

W

What’s not to love? It’s Park City, the Canyons and Deer Valley. It’s Chicago Week with all its great events, old and new friends, and great skiing in Utah. The 29th annual CMSC Chicago Week trip will be held March 20-27. Join one of the 12 CMSC clubs participating in the trip.

Chicago Week is a great time and not just your average ski trip. It will start with a welcome breakfast on the morning after arrival and have you going non-stop until the final night bash on Friday. You’ll come back exhausted but grinning with some great stories to tell.

In addition to the skiing, Park City’s historic Main Street offers dining, nightlife, shops, boutiques and art galleries in an old mining town atmosphere. Enjoy a wintery stroll down Main Street, wandering in and out of the many shops or dine at one of the many great restaurants. This year’s Chicago Week trip offers a choice of lodging in hotel or condo. Trip package includes roundtrip airfare to Salt Lake City, ground transportation from/to airport, fiveor seven-day lift ticket, and the aforementioned parties and fun events. To join us, contact one of the participating clubs: Chicago Friars, Fort Wayne, Hustlers, Inland, Omaha, Pine Point, Piccadilly, Sitzmark, Skihasen, Skunk Hollow, Thunderbird or Wild Bunch (check skicmsc.org for links to each club’s website and contact info) or contact CMSC.trips@gmail.com. See you there!

Each year an average of nearly 400 inches of some of the driest and fluffiest snow falls on the mountains in Park City. If you’ve never experienced being knee deep in some of the best powder anywhere, come join us and find out what it’s like. The multiple ski areas ensure that you won’t be bored. With nine bowls and 107 trails on 3,300 skiable acres, Park City offers a variety of terrain to challenge the expert and appeal to beginners as well. And that’s just the beginning because we’ll be skiing the Canyons (another 3,700 acres, 163 trails) and Deer Valley (add 2,000+ acres and another 99 trails) as well. Altogether that’s over 9,000 skiable acres and 369 trails. Think you can ski them all in one week? 14 ❖ MIDWEST SKIER
