It is not easy to say whether a crisis is coming. Probably yes, but it is important to keep in mind that we are talking not only about one, but multiple financial markets and that is the point. For example, when it comes to the socalled crisis in financial markets, people have in their mind or often refer to stock indexes that represent only one segment of the stock market. However, not all segments move together, which is an opportunity for investors. The stock market itself is divided into large, medium and small companies (Large cap, Medium cap, Small cap), which, in turn, behave very specifically in the event of a correction in a particular market.
Similarly, in a crisis, the debt markets, investments in precious metals, real estate, raw materials and works of art also have their own dynamics, and if this is known,
you can ride the wave and avoid the undercurrents, which can be very dangerous in a crisis. The key point is the following: the markets of these types of assets very rarely have unidirectional movement, which means opportunities to profit from turbulence. Any movement (fluctuation) of the market is the possibility to realize certain results accompanying the asset class. To hedge capital at different economic stages in recent years, a strong emphasis has been placed on derivative products that are appropriate in response to the uncertainty of the market environment.
How are your products positioned in such an investment environment?
We work with investment models that are tested over time, and we have a clear understanding of how these portfolios behave during the market turbulence. We regularly conduct stress tests on these investment models. One of the tasks that our profession solves is the creation of stressresistant investment portfolios in accordance with the latest trends in the industry. The investment models that we have are adapted on a regular basis according to a number of economic indicators and driving forces in the financial markets (GDP, interest rate, unemployment). Therefore, we believe that we feel the “Pulse” of the market and are more than adequate.
What do you offer and with what ISEC Wealth Management distinguishes from other players in the market?
We offer both businesstobusiness (B2B) and retail investment solutions. ISEC Wealth Management provides discretionary portfolio management services, according to customers’ economical profile. We diversify portfolios using ETFs, stocks and shares. Investment models utilized by ISEC Wealth Management Ltd follow mathematical models and quantitative decisions. We follow models which define asset classes based on mathematics and in accordance with customer investor profile.
Portfolio rebalancing is done periodically on a regular basis which helps investors to maintain their initial asset allocation potentially reducing their exposure to risk relative to their target asset allocation. The ISEC Wealth Management portfolios are separately managed accounts. The way they work is, that we run an investment model, and each investor has individual (separately managed) account, which follows that investment model, financial instruments are held in the investor’s own name, and dividends/yields from them are paid directly to an individual account.
