GAME RULES
1. All players MUST wear a team Jersey and shin guards. Recommend black shorts and black socks.
2. Captains and Refs, after each game, report winner of game to registration table.
3. Each game will be 20-minute halves and a 5-minute half time – No clock stoppage
4. 8v8 includes goalkeeper, but if BOTH TEAMS have 12 players will play 8v8 + goalkeeper (9v9)
5. Each team must always have at least one female on the field or play down one
6. If the ball is kicked out of bounds along the sideline, possession is gained by throw in by the team that did not kick it out. Use proper throw-in form.
7. Goalkeeper can punt or throw across the half line: Goalkeeper cannot pick up a back pass from teammate
8. Corner kicks and goal kicks will be utilized if ball travels out of play at the end lines
9. A direct penalty kick from top of goal box will be utilized if there is a foul or handball in the goal box
10. NO slide tackling or High Kicks - will result in a direct penalty kick at the top of the box
11. Player can be ejected from the game if there is a violent defensive play or behavior- ie slide tackle from behind, fighting, excessive cursing, etc.
12. A team will be granted a free in-direct kick if the opposing team uses their hand/arm to intentionally redirect the ball, rough play (pulling jerseys, pushing, tackles that may be too hard based on referee discretion)
13. Substitutions can be made by either team at any restart - throw ins, goal kicks, corner kicks, free kicks etc.
14.NO off-side calls
15. The clock will not stop for any reason during play – no stoppage time at the end of the game
16. Teams will switch directions of attack following half time
17. A red card or two yellows is an ejection from the game. Our refs are volunteers and they are there to keep the matches going. Do not blame them for ANYTHING! ARGUING WITH REF ABOUT CALL = DIRECT PENALTY KICK
