iscovery Parks - Broome is about to transform into one of Western Australia’s best family-friendly holiday destinations. Already a popular camping spot just minutes from the centre of Broome and with stunning views of Roebuck Bay, ongoing developments in 2022 will take the property to a whole new level of comfort and relaxation in the heart of one of Australia’s most popular tourism centres. Improvements will include a soon-tobe-completed resort-style lagoon pool with shaded areas that will overlook Roebuck Bay and create a brand-new focal point for recreation and hospitality. Designed to be surrounded by pool-view studio cabins, this part of the development will become a relaxing hub for families, couples and solo travellers between excursions around Broome.
Another exciting part of the plan is the inclusion of more than 30 deluxe cabins and glamping tents, which should be available to book by March 2023. While these will mean an overall reduction in the number of campsites available on-site, they will enable a whole new audience to experience Roebuck Bay and Broome from an extremely enviable angle. A new camp kitchen and barbecue facilities, new reception, new communal amenities blocks, ensuite sites and improvements to existing camp infrastructure round out a multimillion-dollar investment plan. “The park needed an injection of money to upgrade the amenities, replenish the lawns and improve the reception area,” says Park Manager Margaret Hay. “The campsite has always been quaint, but it was looking a bit worn, so we’re super excited about all the improvements and welcoming visitbroome.com.au
