Arjuna asked... Who are considered more perfect, those devotees who worship you and are thus always united with you in love or those who worship the eternal and indestructible unmanifest? The Lord said... Those who surrender themselves to me and fix their total devotion on me and worship me eternally with their minds absorbed in me, I consider them to be the most devoted to me. However those who are devoted to the unmanifest and that which is beyond all senses and all pervading also attain me. But those who are absorbed in the unmanifest, face excessive tribulation, as for embodied beings the path of that course is difficult to tread. But O Arjuna, those whose minds are absorbed in me in total faith, and who are engaged in devotional service unto me, for them I give deliverance from the cycle of birth and death. Fasten your mind exclusively on me and place your intelligence in me, you will then reside with me forever. O Partha, if you are unable to fix your mind steadfastly on me, and then pursue the discipline of Bhakti-yoga and you will be on right path to realising me. If you are unable to practise this form of devotion even, then follow my words and work for me, for acting on my beliefs will give you perfection. But if even this also is not possible, then control yourself and senses, renouncing all the fruits of action. If this practice is not possible to follow, then pursue the accumulation of knowledge, but superior to that is meditation, from this comes renunciation by which we can attain peace. He who has no hate, envy or egoism, who is gracious and compassionate, staying indifferent in face of pain and pleasure, who is tolerant, self-controlled, firm in his resolve, fixed in devotional practice and whose mind and intellect are fixed on me, is dear to me. He who perturbs no one, and who is never disturbed by anyone, who is unattached to happiness, impatience, fear and anxiety, is dear to me. My devotee who is not dependent on the results of his action, who is pure, knowledgeable, impartial and free from desire and anxiety is very dear to me. One who neither rejoices, grieves, nor yearns, who has renounced both good and evil and who is devoted to me is dear to me. One who treats friends and enemies equally, balanced in honour and disgrace, heat and cold, happiness and anguish, free from attachment, unconcerned about blame and praise, controlled in speech, content, without any fixed residence, even-minded and engaged in devotional service, such a person is dear to me. Those who follow this path of sincere devotional service, with me as the supreme goal are my beloved. O Satguru Swami Teoonram, you are our Lord Krishna!!! We pray to you Sai that we become a disciple like Arjuna so that we comprehend and imbibe the treasure of knowledge in our lives that you have bestowed on us. Reverence in your Holy feet!
