One who knows this tree knows the Vedas. This trees branches extend downwards and spread above as a result of the three modes odes of nature, and the twigs are the sense objects. It also has roots going down, bound to the fruitive actions of human society. This trees form is not perceptible in the world.
No one can understand its beginning, end or foundation. But determinedly on one e must cut down this strong tree armed with the weapon of detachment. And then one must seek higher places that when achieved one must never return from but surrender to the supreme personality, who is the eternal source of everything. Those who are free from rom pride, illusion, and false attachment, those who understand the eternal, who have turned away from material desire, and are free from the dualities of joy and distress, attain that eternal kingdom. That supreme abode of mine is not illumined by the sun,, moon, or fire. Those who reach it never return to the material world. The individual soul of mine is an eternal fragment of myself.
The living entity accustomed to conditioned life struggles with the six senses and the mind. Just as the wind carries the fragrance from its source, the living entity carries the soul from one body to another. The living entity when taking a new body obtains a certain type of eye, ear, organs of touch, taste, and smell, as well as the mind. He thus enjoys sense objects. The ignorant being can neither understand how a living entity can leave a body nor what sort of body he enjoys under the mode of nature. But the enlightened beings can see all this with the eyes of knowledge. Those striving towards transcendence can witness this, situated in self realization. But those whose understanding has not developed, lack power of discrimination cannot see this even if they try. The radiance of the sun, the moon and the fire that illuminate the world, all stem from me. I enter each world through my energy and sustain everything. I become the moon, and cause all plants to flourish. I become the fire of digestion residing in the bodies of all living beings. And then in accordance with the incoming and outgoing life air I digest the four kinds of food. I am seated in everyone’s hearts; knowledge, remembrance and forgetfulness, all come from me. I alone can be known through the Vedas. Indeed, I am the compiler of the Vendanta and I am the knower of the Vedas. In the Vedas there are two types of purushas, the fallible and the infallible. In the material world all living beings are fallible and in the spiritual world all entities are infallible. Beside this there is a higher entity called the Supreme Soul, who is the indestructible, eternal Lord that enters the world and supports it. Because I am transcendental, beyond the fallible and the infallible, I am celebrated in the world and also in the Vedas as the Supreme person. Whoever is not deluded and knows me as the Supreme Being, he is the knower of everything and therefore engages in full devotional service to me. I have taught you this most confidential doctrine of the Vedas. Whoever understand this becomes wise and all his endeavors will be perfect. O Satguru Swami Teoonram, you are our Lord Krishna!!! We pray to you Sai that we become a disciple like Arjuna so that we comprehend and imbibe the treasure of knowledge in our lives that you have bestowed on us. Reverence in your Holy feet!
