Arjuna said... Out of your affection for me you have spoken about your secret, supreme nature. Thus my mind is clear of delusions. O Lotus-eyed one I have heard in detail from you about the origin and dissolution of all beings as well as your everlasting magnificence. I wish to see your cosmic manifestations. O Lord if you think I am capable of beholding, then show me your imperishable self. The Lord said... O Partha, witness now my numerous, glorious, multi-coloured and multi-shaped forms in their hundreds and thousands. Behold their Adityas, Vasus, Rudras, the twin Aswin-Kumaras as well as the Maruts and others. Behold O Bharata, many wonderful things that you have never seen before! O Arjuna, behold the entire universe with the ‘moving’ and ‘unmoving’ in me, along with whatever else you wish to see. However you are not capable of seeing me in this form with your own eyes: I grant you a divine vision: behold my mystic opulence! Sanjaya said... Have spoken in this way, O King, the Supreme Lord showed his opulent form to Arjuna...

Arjuna saw in the form were many faces and eyes, many wonderful visions, divine ornaments and divine weapons. All decked with garlands and garments, decorated with divine scents, abounding in many wonders; the form was resplendent, glorious and limitless. If a thousand suns were to rise in the sky all at once, the brilliance might resemble that of the Universal Being. There and then the son of Pandu saw the entire universe in one place within the body of the Supreme Being. Filled with wonderment, his hairs standing on end, Arjuna bowed his head to the Lord, with palms folded. Arjuna said... O God, I see in your body the Gods and all varieties of beings assembled- Brahma on a lotus seat and all the sages and divine serpents. I see your limitless form, with innumerable arms, bellies, mouths and eyes in every direction. O Lord of the Universe, I see no end, no middle and no beginning in this form. Though you are impossible to view because of your brilliance, I see your radiance glowing all around, crowned, and armed with a club and a mace, with the effulgence of a blazing fire and the sun. You are constant, the Supreme object of knowledge, the ultimate dwelling place of all, the indestructible defender of dharma, known to me as the eternal person. I see you without beginning, middle or end, with unlimited power, with innumerable arms, with the sun and moon as your eyes, with a mouth like blazing fire, burning the universe with your radiance. You pervade in all space between heaven and earth in every direction. O Noble one, the three worlds tremble when they see your awesome and formidable form. The hosts of Gods surrender unto you. Fear stricken, some praise you with folded palms, while fractions of Rishis praise you with meaningful hymns saying “Peace throughout the universe. The Rudras, Adityas, Vasus, Sadhyas, Visvedevas, Asvins, Maruts, ancestors, Gandharvas, Yalsas, demons and Siddhas are all awestruck on seeing you. O mighty-armed, having your great form, with many mouths, eyes, arms, thighs, feet and bellies and your many fearsome teeth, the word trembles as do I. O Visnu, your blazing form, touching the sky, multicoloured, mouth gaping, with enormous fearsome eyes, gives me neither courage nor peace and I tremble with fear. Seeing your teeth that glow like the fire of eternal destruction, I have lost my bearing and find no comfort. Be merciful, O God of Gods. All the sons of Dhrtarastra, along with the kings, and Bhisma, Drona, and Karna, and some of our warriors, are rushing headlong into your fearful mouths with their many teeth. And some have their head crushed between your teeth. Just like the gushing rivers enter the seas, these worldly warriors rush headlong into your flaming mouths. They rush into your mouths like moths fly into the blazing fire and are destroyed. O Visnu, you devour all creatures with your fierce mouths, enveloping the entire universe with your terrible and splendorous rays. O Lords of Lords, tell me who you are. I offer my obeisance unto you, be merciful. I want to understand you, but I cannot understand your actions. The Lord said... I am time, the powerful destroyer of the world, who has come forth to wipe out everyone. Even without your participation, the opposition will be slain! Therefore arise and win glory. Overcome your enemies and take pleasure in your sovereignty. Your enemies have already been killed by me and you can be an instrument in the fight, O Savyasachi. I have already killed Drona, Bhisma, Jayadratha, as well as Karna and other heroic warriors. Do not be afraid. Fight and conquer the enemy in battle. Sanjaya said:

Upon hearing Krsna’s speech, Arjuna, trembling with folded palms, offered obeisance in fear and spoke to Krsna in a faltering voice. O Kesava, on hearing your praises the world is filled with joy, while the demons flee in terror and the perfected being offer you homage. And why should they not bow before you, O Glorious one, who is even greater than Brahma. You are the sanctuary of the universe, the indestructible, the manifest and that which is beyond both. You are the original personality of Godhead, the oldest, the ultimate sanctuary of the entire universe. You are the knower and the knowledge. The Supreme Abode! The entire universe is pervaded by you. You are Air, Yama, Fire, Water, the moon, the King of all beings, and the great-grandfather. I offer my obeisance to you thousands of times; again and again. Obeisance to you from front, behind and from all sides! You are boundless might and inexhaustible courage. You pervade all, you are everything. Forgive me for words I may have rashly used in ignorance of your status and might. Unaware of your glory I had considered you a friend and addressed you “O Krsna, O Yadava, O comrade!” I seek forgiveness for having treated you disrespectfully by joking with you while playing, resting, sitting or eating together either privately or in front of other companion. You are the father of the universe, of all things, moving and unmoving. You are the worshippable chief, the Supreme Master. You have no equals in the three worlds. O you of unrivalled power! I therefore surrender myself to you O Lord. O God, please show mercy on me and tolerate my transgressions, just as a father tolerates his son’s misbehaviour, a friend tolerates the misdoings of his friend and a lover of his beloved. I am overjoyed at seeing your universal form, which I have never seen before, although at the same time I am disturbed and fearful. Bless me therefore O Lord and show me your magnificent form. I want to see you adorned with a crown, armed with a club, discus in hand, bearing the conch and lotus. O Lord of All, show me the four-armed form The Lord said... I have happily shown you that radiant, effulgent form that none has ever seen before. O Arjuna no one has ever seen my cosmic form. One cannot see me in this material world by studying the Vedas, performing sacrifices, by charity, pious activities or severe austerities. Free yourself from the horror of seeing me in my fearsome form and behold the form you desire to see with a peaceful heart. Sanjaya said... Having spoken thus to Arjuna, the Lord then manifested into his gentle, two-armed human form and pacified the frightened warrior. Arjuna said... O Janardhana now seeing you in this gentle human form of yours, I am composed and restored to my original state. The Lord said.. This form of mine that you are seeing is very difficult to behold. Even the Gods are constantly trying to see it. The form that you behold cannot be seen by understanding the Vedas, not by austerity, not by giving charity, not even by sacrifice can I be seen in this form as you have seen me. Only by sincere and undivided devotion

can one actually see and understand this form and attain me, O Arjuna. One who engages in sincere and faithful service to me, free from enmity and attachment he attains me. O Satguru Swami Teoonram, you are our Lord Krishna!!! We pray to you Sai that we become a disciple like Arjuna so that we comprehend and imbibe the treasure of knowledge in our lives that you have bestowed on us. Reverence in your Holy feet!
