ATM AFRICA is a manufacturing plant that was set up in 2012, in the capital city of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The main purpose of this plant is to manufacture and distribute brands of cigarettes that are competitively priced and more readily available to the local market. The plant boasts high tech modern machinery that conforms to government legislature in terms of its manufacturing process. The plant is also set to Toll Manufacture Cigarettes and to supply Cigarette Filter Rods and Non Tobacco Materials for both the local and export markets, thereby generating income for the local government. This plant uplifts the local community by creating job opportunities for the local community. ATM is a BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) company whose goal and vision is to distribute wealth across a broad spectrum of the South African Society. Immense value is placed on Social responsibility to nonprofit organizations and under privileged communities. Social upliftment in the work sphere and in the community that surrounds the company is of the utmost importance and very close to the heart of the CEO of ATM Africa.

ATM brands have created much hype in the local and international tobacco industry. Market research has the ATM Team bringing about fresh and quality guaranteed products that appeal to people of all sectors of the market. Prices are bench marked to our government’s minimum pricing stipulation and at the same time these brands are made affordable to all, ensuring that the traders and the end users are in a “win-win” situation. Being in the market for a mere three years, ATM Africa has already captured a good percentage of local market share. Participation in Trade Shows and advertising in Trade Magazines has given both the Company and brands much exposure. The rapid growth in the Market has had Management relook at plant expansion, which was originally scheduled as a five year plan. In order to feed this growing market this plan has been brought forward and implemented. This of course is a feather in the cap for the team. In tandem with plant expansion there are other “new” product lines that will ripple out into the ever growing Tobacco Market.

Africa, cutting, raking and baling of Alfalfa (Lucern) for the Middle East. We supply dairies and animal feed traders, a few of our clients are Jenaan (Abu Dhabi), Al Ain Dairies and Agility. We supply UAE, Saudi Arabia and Korea. We hold the rights for Fastjet PLC Airlines in South Africa. Whatever we can own, sell and logistically move in our integrated chain we will. We manufacture and distribute cigarettes in South Africa for the African continent and are looking to expand into the Middle East. We are involved in the following companies; listed company AfriAg PLC on the AIM stock exchange (London), ATM Africa, PFC Integration and the AfriAg group of companies. Yusuf Kajee is an entrepreneur and has run many diversified businesses. He has the unbelievable skill of breaking cartels and taking businesses to a new corporate level. Yusuf runs the day-to-day marketing, finance and strategy of the group. Paul de Robillard is an entrepreneur who traded as a sole proprietor until 2004. He then sold his logistics business to Lonrho PLC. Paul runs the day-to-day logistics and operations of the group. Both the above entrepreneurs are supported by world class accounting and legal companies matched by the same in staff. The internal controls of the group are well administered. We are both challenged daily by publicity due to the nature of the businesses we are involved in. The controversy arising from our past sale of businesses, and the forging ahead of challenging the cartels publically, and dominating certain select high profile businesses, is apparent. We are in the process of moving our administration hub into the Emirates, due to the sound economic conditions and the ability to make foreign payments globally, which bodes well for an integrated logistics and trading model. We look forward to developing mutually beneficial relationships as we strengthen our position globally.

Ck started as a playful brand that was set to be an ever changing brand in terms of artwork and design. No one envisage this brand going places like it has. Everyone that sees this brand for the first time breaks out into a huge smile when they realize that they are holding a packet of cigarettes. We have been told that it looks like a pack of tissues whilst others say it is so pretty it has to be something edible. This uniquely different packaging has people holding onto their empty boxes and looking for a use for the empty pack.

The growth with the Ck brand has taken us by surprise with its soft fun filled looks. The South African Market has fallen in love with this brand and demanded for a “masculine” brand though many men smoke one of the variants. To appease the market ATM Africa has given us the MORE that is wanted in the following packaging. Official launch of these new packs will take place in ALL Provinces in South Africa in 2016.

Taking our

BRANDPeople to the

Woman in Business Event of 2015 The Woman in Business event was hosted at Uncle Tom’s Hall in Soweto. It was an enjoyable event for each guest that attended, but it was equally as great for sponsors like ourselves. It was really inspiring and motivating to engage with remarkable women who have been in the industry for more than 20 years - women who are breaking the norm in what was once a male dominated industry. The function was such a success, backed by inspirational speakers, great food and wine and not forgetting the fabulous goody bags. At the end of the day every business woman left the event ready to conquer the world.

AUTOMECHANICKA 2015 ATM Africa show cased their brands at the Johannesburg 2015 Automechanika Show. Being at the Show also exposed them to other Exhibitors who smoke and were keen on changing from their current brands. They received much positive feedback from smokers who sampled their brands. There where enquiries everyday on where these brands where available for them to procure in future. It is amazing that though the brands are available at the local Pick n Pays, Spars and Makro, they sadly did not know of their availability. Many promised to ask for them by name or they would take their empty packets when out shopping for cigarettes. They had received a call from Makro Alberton who enquired on their experience and feedback of the Show. It was also noted that the CK brand that is currently at their store is depleted in terms of their shelf stock. They claim it was the ripple effect from the Automechanika Show. Much hype was created at the ATM stand as they gave away trendy shopping bags, water etc. that was aunted by all those that had visited the stand. ATM Africa will be engaging in more activations throughout the year, so if you are 18 years and over follow them on social media as it is a life style change.

August 2015 “KEEP RUNNING THE LEGACY” at the fastest growing marathon in Africa. Runners throughout the world have the opportunity to celebrate the life and commemorate the legacy of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the father of our nation, and the world icon who led South Africa through its most difficult period in history. The custodians of the Mandela Day Marathon are making the event more accessible to a greater diversity of participants offering the flagship 42Km Mandela Day Marathon together with a 21Km Half Marathon and a 10Km Road Race.. Afriag has played an integral role in being the main sponsor of the Ck water to the race and we are hoping to follow through with this sponsorship for the years to follow. The Ck Water was and will be the life line to this race throughout history.

The fabulous VIP Ck Lounge was set up at Joe Cools Restaurant and Bar at the Durban Beach front. The official opening of the Ck Lounge was on the 4th of July in time to enjoy the Vodacom Durban July AFTER PARTY. Though many where tired from the day at the races, many made their way to the Ck VIP Lounge opening. The lounge has received much attention from the inception of its opening. It draws people as it sets them apart from the rest of the guests at Joe Cools. Joe Cools is a restaurant by day and a night club by night that draws people from all walks of life looking for simple yet sophisticated pleasure.

Ck water was introduced to the Market in July 2015. The demand has grown over the months not because it is priced right but it is a saving grace to many communities.

The Ck brand is a young, exciting and vivacious brand that is calling out to summer. In keeping with the Market the brand label is undergoing a change.

The lack of rain has brought about great constraints to water usage in KZN, South Africa. This unforeseen demand has got us looking and incorporating a new size. Initially it was just the 500ml bottles however now we had to look at bottling 1Lt and 5 Lt bottles.

The official launch of the Ck Branded water will be in Dubai and in its home town Durban this December 2015.
