GUIDE TO GROUNDBAIT At Sonubaits we have a reputation of producing the best groundbaits available. To make the most of the groundbaits it is essential to mix them correctly, we have made this process as simple as possible, and by following a few simple rules you will be able to mix in the same way as the professionals.

We have included in this guide a texture rating and a binding rating. They are both scores out of 5.

MAGGOT FISHMEAL

BINDING RATING:

■■Contains ground pellets, fishmeal and dried maggots ■■Drying maggots intensifies the flavour ■■Perfect for all species of fish ■■Use with a feeder, pole or float

Use 2 pints of water to mix a 2kg bag

STEP 1.

Empty the groundbait into a large mixing bowl.

STEP 3.

Mix the water thoroughly with the groundbait until it is of even consistency.

Low binding qualities, a soft light fluffy mix that breaks down quickly.

High binding qualities, a denser more compact groundbait that takes longer to break down.

STEP 2.

Add the recommended amount of water to the groundbait.

STEP 4.

Leave the groundbait to rest for a minimum of 20 minutes to allow the groundbait to absorb the water.

Small, fine particle size, very even consistency of particle size.

STEP 5.

Pass the groundbait through a riddle to add air and take out any lumps.

STEP 6.

The groundbait is now ready to use, if it dries out when fishing just add a little more water to the groundbait and mix thoroughly.
