situated in the vibrant and diverse neighbourhood of East Ham, London, I actively contributed to a dynamic project spanning the crucial stages of design development to project completion (RIBA stages 03-06). My role encompassed frequent on-site inspections, direct communication with clients and contractors, and a deep exploration of construction detailing. This was essential in crafting the comprehensive design for the proposed extension.

technical drawings / I was involved in the technical detailing of an ongoing renovation project of a 19th century detached home situated in the Leigh conservation area. The properties along this street are inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement with features such as balconies and verandahs providing spectacular views towards the sea. I was documenting the existing conditions, analysing the architectural and structural elements and ensuring compliance with the planning policies.

emergency housing for young people
Masters Y1 Project Year: 2020 - Present Location: Braughing, Ware, Hertfordshire RIBA Stages: 03 - 06
The brutalist structure has a long-standing presence, serving as a center of industry for a considerable workforce. By leveraging the structural efficiency of the building skeleton, helped establish the foundation for design. The approach prioritized the retention of as much of the existing concrete structure as possible, allowing for future reinterpretations, adaptations, and growth as the materials age and the surroundings evolve. Addressing the area’s needs, the project incorporates affordable housing and large-scale communal spaces for public amenities.
“East End a place where dreams of success can be born.Young people with very little in the way of material resources find a way to make something out of nothing.” Young people require a variety of thoughtfully designed spaces, including private, shared, and supportive areas, to achieve a healthy balance between personal and communal experiences.

need for newtown
Postgraduate: Development & Emergency Practice Year: 2022 Location: Newtown, Aston, Birmingham
The revitalisation of dilapidated shopping centre units creates a versatile self-help and community centre. Two units are combined to form a world cafe with a community kitchen and a separate crèche. Another unit becomes a maker space for asylum seekers to collaborate, exhibit, and sell their products. The last unit serves as a learning lab and advice centre, offering study spaces and offices for those seeking assistance in Newtown, Birmingham.

personal works and endeavours
I indulge in art of all forms. My most favorite being portraiture and the ability to capture the feeling and emotion through watercolours, oil bars and chalk pastels. By working alongside like-minded individuals, I was able to put together an exhibition showcasing talent including music, art and photography alongside A Collective: SOUL at Old Street Gallery, London.
sketch / pencil crayon and pen
Engaging in passions such as art, music and literature are also key attributes to creating and regenerating spaces for our development, and I aspire to explore these interests further throughout my studies and beyond.

oxford architecture society x cooloff I believe that successful engagement with the local community is developed as a result of a well-organised collective which includes; architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, urban designers, filmmakers, photographers, researchers and housing campaigners. I established a dedicated student space through “CoolOFF”, at the Oxford School of Architecture. This space fostered creative collaborations that placed a strong emphasis on building community cohesion and active engagement, in the pursuit of crafting design concepts that promote holistic solutions.

The team worked on producing the drawings for construction, fabrication as well as collaborating with the client and contractors of this project: Fabric & Build The proposal, “Coventry’s Tapestry” celebrates the rich and interconnected history of Coventry through its art, culture and spatial fabric. Using Coventry Cathedral as a beacon of light and hope in the area, the show window’s winning entry portrayed a united city; resembling the stained glass windows as a metaphor of beauty in the midst of a bomb ridden past. A past that led to Coventry’s stronger and more resilient than ever community that is vibrant and diverse.
