PROJECT 1B client study.
Understanding client's profile and narrative in order to better design for the client.
J.K ROWLING 1965 - Present
CLIENT " Moments of pure inspiration are glorious, but most of a writer's life is, to adapt the old cliche, about perspiration rather than inspiration. Sometimes you have to write even when the muse isnt cooperating,"
FAVORITES
"You've got to work. Its about structure. It's about discipline. It's all these deadly things that your school teacher told you you needed... You need it,"Â
ART COLLAGE J.K Rowling (Joanne Rowling) Born 31/7/1965, Yate Gloucestershire Wrote fantasy stories when she was a child Difficult and unhappy as a teenager Mother died in 1990 (multiple sclerosis)
Famous author/ Writer Studied French and taught English in Portugal Mother of 3 children Jessica ( 26 years) David (17 years) Mackenzie (15 years) Husband: Neil Murray Scotland
"Anything's possible if you've got the nerve." - J.K. Rowling
WORK ETHIC J.K. Rowling has a dedicated room in her house in which she writes and calls her 'writing room'. She has stated that she needs to be in an inspiring environment to write and have been known to write in cafes and her house garden. She also sets a dedicated daily schedule where she sits down and write whether or not she feels like it. Rowling plans heavily when she writes. She arranges her plot into grid boxes and prefers to write with pen on paper and then only on computer. Futhermore, Rowling has an obsessive attention to detail, she believes discipline and structure is key.
PROJECT 2 site analysis.
Exploring a significant and rudimentary part of the design process. Identifying and understanding basic site elements to further design an architectural space for client.

IDEATION Derived from views on site. concept ideation was derived from the breathtaking views on site. Sketches show preliminary ideas on how the design could be manipulated to achieve different views.
CONCEPT Sight replication replicating views in the design of each space so the space feels as though it is part of the scenery.
