We serve a vibrant and diverse community, where excellent relationships promote an inclusive, warm and secure environment where children feel safe and valued. Our school is in an exciting phase of redevelopment. We are currently one form of entry expanding into two forms of entry in September 2016. We are looking for an inspirational and outstanding teacher with knowledge and vision to build on the schools success. Our Background Holy Trinity is currently a one form entry Church of England Primary School located in the heart of Dalston. We have classes of 30 pupils from Reception to Year 6 and a Nursery for up to 26 FTE pupils. Our school has been in the process of redevelopment and in September 2016 we will become a 2 form entry primary school. Holy Trinity is one of six schools within the Primary Advantage Federation, with Sian Davies as the Executive Principal. Yvonne Barnett, is the Headteacher and leads on teaching and learning in the school and is supported by a strong Senior Leadership Team.

Primary Advantage National Teaching Schools Teaching schools are outstanding schools that work with others to provide high-quality training and development to new and experienced school staff. Job Description - Assistant Headteacher Job Title: Assistant Headteacher Responsibilities: Literacy (Whole School) and Teaching & Learning across KS1 Key Contacts: Headteacher & Executive Principal Salary: L4 – L10 (£48,861 - £ 55,527) Role Summary: Key Accountabilities in addition to those of a Main Scale Teacher – Please also refer to the Job Description for Class Teacher. The Assistant Headteacher is responsible for managing the operation of key areas in the school. The Assistant Head provides support for the Headteacher in the day to day running of the school and can deputise in his/her absence. There will be a teaching commitment within this role. The Assistant Head, under the direction of the Headteacher or Executive Principal, may also be required to work across the federated school and foster appropriate links between the schools if necessary. Job Purpose: To lead in the development, direction and oversight of literacy, promoting high standards of teaching and learning and pupil achievement. Duties: 1. The current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document describes duties which are required to be undertaken by teachers in the course of their employment. To lead others to implement a wide range of coherent strategies to raise students’ achievement and attainment. To work with the Finance and Admin Manager to ensure that the budgets for your areas of responsibility and line management are accurate and provide value for money. To lead self-evaluation, development planning and preparation for inspection in all areas of your responsibility and line management. To ensure the recording, reporting and monitoring of pupil progress ensuring that deadlines are met. To mentor, develop, appraise and lead subject staff. Research and implementing innovative curriculum content and structures. To ensure teaching is in line with national standards.
