reakfast is important because it gives us energy for the day ahead and is generally a good source of nutrients. But, it can often get skipped with the excitement of Christmas and with the pressure of preparing the main dinner. So whether you are ripping open your presents or busy in the kitchen, remember to take a little time to tuck into a healthy breakfast too - it could be a long time before dinner is served, increasing the tendency to snack throughout the morning. Here are some suggestions for a healthy festive breakfast: √ Try adding fresh fruit to your favorite cereal. Alternatively you could sprinkle on a handful of nuts and dried seasonal fruit. √ You could cook up some scrambled eggs and, for a bit of luxury, add trimmings of smoked salmon with chopped chives. Serve on whole meal toast and to drink try a festive mix of freshly squeezed orange and blood orange juice and sparkling water. √ It may be tempting to reach for the chocolate on the Christmas tree or from your stocking to keep you going before dinner but if you are feeling puckish, for a healthier alternative why not serve the family small slices of a selection of fruity breads.

thiopian Airlines, the leading, fastest growing and most profitable airline in Africa, operated an allwomen functioned flight on November on the Addis Ababa-Bangkok route. This historic flight was aimed at crystalizing Ethiopian corporate conviction of "Women Empowerment for a Sustainable Growth," and it was the first of its kind in the airlines' 70 years of service. This historical flight was oper-
ated by an all-female crew led by female flight deck crewmembers and senior female executives onboard that flight. On ground, flight preparations were also conducted by females only, such as a cabin operations, airport operations, flight dispatcher, load controller, ramp operations, onboard logistics, aviation safety and security, ticket offices, catering, air traffic controllers as well as Global Call Center. The Ethiopian Airlines has also created a more conductive situation for new mothers by launch-
ing a nursing room equipped with modern amenities, comfortable reclining chairs, and refrigerators for the storage of breast milk. The fact that female employees comprise 30 percent of the total Ethiopian employee population signifies Ethiopian Airlines' core value of equal opportunity employer. Ethiopian Airlines is currently implementing a 15-year strategic plan called Vision 2025 that will see it become the leading aviation group in Africa with seven business centers.

Beard growth- Genetic or not? By unwind the beauty spot Beard is the collection of hair that grows on the chin, upper lip , cheeks or neck of humans and some non- human animals. In humans, usually only pubescent or adult males are able to grow beards. However, women with hirsutism, a hormonal condition of excessive hairiness, may develop a beard. The beard develops during puberty. Beard growth is linked to stimulation of hair follicles in the area by Dihydrotestosterone, which continues to affect beard growth after puberty. Various hormones stimulate hair follicles from different areas. Dihydrotestosterone, for example, may also promote short-term pogonotrophy (i.e., the grooming of facial hair). For example, a scientist who chose to remain anony-
mous had to spend periods of several weeks on a remote island in comparative isolation. He noticed that his beard growth diminished, but the day before he was due to leave the island it increased again, to reach unusually high rates during the first day or two on the mainland. The search for alcohol hangover cures is as old as alcohol itself. Many cures have been suggested but scientific evidence for their effectiveness is generally lacking. What can you do? Dehydration is one of the main causes of hangover symptoms like the headache. This is because alcohol acts as a diuretic which means that you may urinate more and become dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluids to get yourself rehydrated. As well as water why not try some unsweetened fruit juice (dilute with sparling water if you like) to give yourself a little vitamin boost, or a smoothie made with milk, fruit and ice. he ruins of these two medieval city-sates, Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara, are found on two adjacent islands off the coast of Tanzania, about 200 km south of Dar es Salaam. At its height, in the 14th century, Kilwa Kisiwani was the single most important trading centre on the East African coast and its ruins include a number of mosques, a well-preserved Omani fortress,
On another island to the south the ruins of Songo Mnara include another palace complex from the same period, as well as houses, graves and a number of mosques surrounded by a defensive wall. These ruins are of prime importance to our understanding of the development of the Swahili culture and the spread and influence of Islam along the East African coast for 1000 years from the 9th century.
Travelling tips this Christmas
First, check in advance that your passport and visas are in date, print out any necessary documents such as boarding cards and organize your travel insurance well in advance to get the best deal.
