Operator comfort, safety and ease of operation were front of mind during the design of the HMK110CS.

The HMK110CS roller is based around high performance, versatility and productivity, and provides easy and comfortable operation for the user, says Hidromek of its latest product addition.

The company says that the roller delivers outstanding performance with its high power and torque output, water cooled, turbocharged diesel engine. Weighing in at 11 tonnes, the machine’s engine output is 138 horsepower (103kW) @ 2,400 rpm.

The same high-quality components seen on the Hidromek excavator range, and produced by Hidromek’s robust steel construction factory, are used on the compactors. As with Hidromek’s other machines, the rollers are built robust to withstand harsh and challenging environments.

The machine is versatile in a number of applications, including utilities, road construction, civil construction and large residential developments, Hidromek says.

Due to its high vibration energy, the high eccentric mode compaction of thick layers of soil at a high efficiency rate. The low eccentric mode, ideal for fine finishing work, has been designed to achieve impressive surface sealing during the final compaction stage. The combination of the two work ranges (high eccentric mode and low eccentric mode) makes the machines highly versatile and effective, Hidromek adds.

The Compactimeter is an optional feature that provides the operator with indication of the relative compaction of the sub-soil being achieved while rolling.

Operator comfort, safety and ease of operation were front of mind during the design of the HMK110CS, the company explains. The cab boasts large windows, providing excellent visibility, LED head lamps, working lights, ergonomic access to all controls, fully adjustable suspension seat, rear view camera, cool-box, sun-visors, 8-inch (20cm) touchscreen, multimedia control, heavy-duty air conditioning and front and rear window wipers.

The vibration isolated operator’s cabin is strengthened with rollover protection.

An adjustable phone/PC/tablet-holder has been incorporated for operator comfort and a one-piece opening hood provides easy serviceability.

The Hidromek rollers are available for sale and hire through Onetrak – the official Hidromek dealer in Australia.
