new player down under
German machinery brand Kramer has entered the Australasian market after doing a deal with Cervus
Equipment
Above: All Kramer-Werke machines are designed to fit the needs of agricultural material handling As in Europe, John Deere dealers in Australia and New Zealand will distribute Kramer machines. The first dealer is Cervus Equipment in Victoria and New Zealand. Kramer-Werke GmbH is a medium-sized manufacturing company in southern Germany that places great value on its own research and development, it says. The Kramer brand represents all wheel steer loaders, telescopic wheel loaders and telehandlers with high levels of manoeuvrability, stability and efficiency for applications in agriculture, construction, gardening and landscaping, municipalities, plant hire business parks and recycling companies. “Our company is characterised by innovative and customeroriented product development, whereby the implementation of customer requirements should be at the forefront above anything else, with the aim to provide machines for professional application”, Kramer-Werke GmbH managing director Christian Stryffeler says. The first five machines in the Kramer telehandler product range – models KT276 and KT447 – made their way to the new Kramer dealer in Leongatha, Victoria in August. Cervus Equipment Leongatha branch manager Allan Muirhead says they are solid machines that he expects to be popular Down Under, especially with dairy farmers. “They are a really solid German build with some impressive features,” he says. “We will have demos early next year.” Cervus Equipment managing director Tim Ormrod says the company is looking forward to the partnership with Kramer and making these machines available to customers both in New Zealand and in Victoria. “The Kramer product portfolio is best suited for our market and year-round application in various agricultural disciplines,” he says. Kramer-Werke’s telehandler range consists of 11 models; from the compact KT276 model with a payload of 2.7-tonnes and a stacking height of 6 metres all the way up to the KT559 with a payload of 5.5-tonnes and a stacking height of 9 metres.
