SIMPLE TO SERVICE AND EASY TO MAINTAIN, KEITH’S WALKING FLOOR SYSTEMS ARE A POPULAR ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL TIPPERS.
Choosing reliable equipment is key to operating an effi cient fl eet according to KEITH. Frequent breakdowns or complex maintenance requirements keep vehicles off the road, costing businesses time and money. KEITH has spent the past 50 years designing a trailer unloading system aimed at providing customers the lowest cost of ownership of any moving fl oor on the market. According to Zyggy Reinoga of KEITH WALKING FLOOR Australia, the reliability of KEITH’s hydraulic drive unit helps build loyalty among KEITH WALKING FLOOR customers. “The WALKING FLOOR drive requires very little maintenance, especially when compared to the daily maintenance required to keep other systems in good working order,” he says – adding that the KEITH RUNNING FLOOR II drive unit was designed for the lowest total cost of ownership over the lifetime of the equipment. Interchangeable components like the cylinders and the check valves mean fewer parts are required for a fully stocked back-up inventory. In addition, KEITH systems are designed to make servicing the equipment as simple as possible. Easily accessible components cut
downtime when repairs are needed. “You don’t need to break down the entire system to replace one valve,” Zyggy says. Maintenance requirements are also minimal. KEITH recommends drivers conduct daily visual inspections of the WALKING FLOOR system, checking hydraulic fi ttings, hoses, bolts and fl oor slats for loose connections, leaks or damage. “Drivers are in the prime position to notice small issues like loose fl oor bolts and fi x them before they cause any damage,” Zyggy says. Aside from that, implementing a basic monthly and biannual maintenance routine will help keep the WALKING FLOOR system operating trouble-free. On a monthly basis, or after 25 operating hours, recommendations include checking the system for hydraulic leaks and making sure that the operating temperature is within acceptable range. No component should be warmer than 60° Celsius. Retorquing the bolts that see the most movement is an important step in the monthly maintenance schedule. The three cylinders are attached to the drive unit with barrel clamps. Those bolts, along with the fl oor bolts should be retightened each month. At the six-month mark, or after 150 operating hours, KEITH recommends inspecting the wear areas of the drive unit and fl ooring components for possible replacement. Oil fi lters should also be changed. “If you are running clean hydraulic oil through the system, problems will be few,” Zyggy says. Rotating the fl oor slats end-for-end is another procedure recommended by KEITH to extend the life of the slat. If the ends of the fl oor slats are worn more than threequarters of the original thickness, it is suggested to remove the slats and rotate them. “A general guide for slat rotation or replacement is after approximately 3,000 loads, depending on the material you are hauling,” Zyggy says. “A little regular care goes a long way with WALKING FLOOR systems.”

THE DRIVING FORCE IN AUTOMOTIVE SOLUTIONS
The tradition continues
FOUNDED AT PORT KEMBLA IN 1968, BRENTWOOD TRAILERS AND ITS SUBSIDIARY M&S TRUCK BODIES HAVE A SOLID REPUTATION FOR BUILDING SOME OF THE MOST DURABLE PLANT TRAILERS, HEAVY HAULAGE TRAILERS AND TIPPERS AVAILABLE. THE PROUDLY AUSTRALIANOWNED COMPANY CONTINUES TO RELY ON JOST TO SUPPLY THE ANCILLARY COMPONENTS THAT ARE MORE THAN EQUAL TO THE TASK.
Brentwood Trailers manufactures a comprehensive range of custom-built trailers to suit any application – from plant trailers for the smaller jobs right through to full-widener heavy haulage trailers for the monstrous tasks, and everything in between. Repairs and refurbishments of trailers – covering all bases from the replacement of worn suspension bushes to complete rebuilds – are other important elements of the business. Brentwood Trailers has in-house blasting chamber and paint booth facilities which enable a professional finish to be achieved with every repair and refurb. The company also stocks a vast range of spare parts in its onsite warehouse. Brentwood’s association with JOST stretches back more than three decades, with the company supplying a wide range of components including fifth wheels, ballraces, Rockinger RO500 trailer couplings, landing legs, pneumatic cylinders and wheel packages. “We’ve been using JOST products for a long time and have had very few issues with them,” says Michael McBriarty, Sales Manager, who joined the company in 1988. “I’ve been dealing with JOST for over 30 years and have always found the company to be reliable and honest with a readily available supply of the components and spare parts we need.” Michael explains that the company currently deals with JOST Area Manager John Dreves, who he says has been exceptionally good at sorting out any issues that have arisen to ensure Brentwood Trailers can continue to meet its customers’ expectations. JOST Australia prides itself on the high level of technical assistance it provides to customers, with an excellent after sale service, backed by
a nationwide supply network with warehouse distribution in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. According to the company, a comprehensive range of spare parts is always in stock, complemented by a fast and efficient turnaround time for orders. Expanding on Brentwood’s product line, the Wideline is described as a versatile trailer that has been used in many applications over the years. Brentwood says the Wideline frame enables superior load distribution and strength where it’s needed most. The main beams are on the outside for added strength and stability, making this trailer a popular all-round workhorse, the company says. The highly customisable design, with a choice of tandem or tri-axle configurations, includes airbag suspension, an Electronic Braking System (EBS) and a wide choice of ramp designs. Brentwood’s Widening Deck trailers are highly customisable to suit individual customer requirements and are available with either three or four axles. All have EBS as standard. The Full Widener range of low loaders for the really big jobs include the Hydrafold which features a hydraulically folding gooseneck, as well as dollies and special builds. At the lighter end, Brentwood’s Plant Trailer range is available with a choice of single, dual or tri-axle configurations. Other options include spring or airbag suspension, EBS and a wide variety of ramp designs. The company also produces a range of tipper bodies and trailers that are custom built to customers’ specifications. These are manufactured by an arm of the business called M&S Truck Bodies. Tipping trailers and bodies are produced in a range of configurations from either aluminium or Hardox steel for heavyduty applications. The aluminium units are suitable for a variety of haulage tasks including, but not limited to, sand, coal, asphalt and excavation materials. For maximum wear resistance and durability, M&S builds tipper bodies as well as three- and four-axle dog trailers from Hardox with a choice of axles featuring either drum or disc brakes, all including EBS as standard. M&S tipper and dog combinations come standard with the Rockinger RO500 automatic trailer coupling supplied by JOST. This unit has an admissible D-value of up to 285kN and an admissible static vertical load of up to 2,500kg. It also has an admissible V-value of up to 90kN and the option to add sensor technology with jack-knife alarm and/or pneumatic operation to the standard coupler. Other JOST supplied components used in these builds include ballraces, hoists, alloy rims, Hubodometers and hubcaps. All up, the long-standing partnership between JOST and Brentwood Trailers has proven to be very fruitful and mutually beneficial – with both companies reaping the rewards that stem from products designed and built to go the distance.

Rentco adds more terminal tractors to its fl eet
THE TEAM AT RENTCO TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT RENTALS PLANS TO CONTINUE ON ITS GROWTH TRAJECTORY AS IT EXPANDS ITS PRESENCE AND FLEET OFFERING ACROSS AUSTRALIA IN THE NEXT 12 MONTHS.
With an aim to continue offering one of Australia’s largest gamut of heavy-duty transport rental equipment to a wide range of industries, Rentco is adding new vehicles and equipment to its fl eet this year. The business is committed to delivering fi rstclass equipment such as commercial trailers, trucks, dollies, fl at rack containers, swing lifters, skels and light vehicles to the local market. Rentco offers nearly 3500 units, fully serviced and with nationwide availability. Rentco has recently added a large number of terminal tractor vehicles to its existing fl eet as it looks to rapidly expand its product offering, particularly its terminal tractor fl eet, with a number of additional trucks on order. “Terminal tractors is one area of targeted growth being tabled at present,” says Paul Scott, Rentco’s National Business Manager. “We see a huge opportunity for long- and short-term rentals of terminal tractors in the market due to affordability, service, safety and access all being improved as our scale increases.” Rentco’s recent purchase of terminal tractors is part of its acquisition of the rental division of Melbourne-based terminal tractor specialists Daysworth International. The acquisition also means Rentco will continue to service the long-term agreements in place with Daysworth’s existing rental clients. Daysworth continues to proudly support the sales and services of its well-known terminal tractor brand across Australia. “An already solid relationship between the two businesses allowed for a very smooth transaction and it is expected that the relationship will strengthen even further throughout the change of ownership with Rentco still very keen to take advantage of the Daysworth support over the coming years,” Paul says. “This strategic upsize assures our ability to support further asset growth and develop greater resources in the parts supply chain, service and technology associated with the scale of the largest fl eet of rental yard tugs in Australia. “Rentco has been a dominant market leader in the Australian heavy duty rental market and with more than 25 years in this business, we continue to build our fl eet stock levels, improve service and develop strategies to overcome stock shortages and knee-jerk reactions that our market deals with hourly, day after day, year after year. “Just when you think we have a handle on things the market takes another direction and this is where Rentco delivers to its customers the advantage of being able to change in an instant with compliant, current and fi t for purpose equipment to get the job done.”
ABOUT RENTCO
Since its inception in April of 1994, Rentco has grown to be one of Australia’s most recognised transport equipment rental businesses. Driving with grape success
SECOND-GENERATION FAMILY BUSINESS, LRT/VCT, LOOKS NO FURTHER THAN BPW TRANSPEC WHEN IT COMES TO AXLES AND SUSPENSIONS FOR ITS FLEET. A SMALL TEAM OF HIGHLY TRAINED MECHANICAL STAFF RELY ON THE FUNCTIONALITY AND QUALITY OF BPW PRODUCTS TO KEEP THE FLEET IN TOP SHAPE.
LRT/VCT provides refrigerated and nonrefrigerated transport services between Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, and multiple cities and towns across Australia. Established in 1977 under the name of Cordoma Brothers Transport (CBT), the family-run business started transporting grapes from the region around Mildura to Sydney and Melbourne, continuing to expand in the decades to follow. In 2007, the next generation of the family took over the reins and the company was renamed LRT/VCT, Leslie Refrigerated Transport (LRT) and Vince Cordoma Transport (VCT). Today, it is one of the leading refrigerated transport businesses in Victoria’s Sunraysia region, with facilities based in Robinvale and Irymple (near Mildura) in North-West Victoria, a region renowned for its grapes and fruit. The business takes great pride in giving customers the best service. As a result, it has an experienced and well-trained team of drivers along with one of the best fl eets in the region. The current fl eet includes more than 100 trailers, with a mix of refrigerated trailers, curtainsiders and refrigerated containers, and 45 prime movers, mostly Kenworth models. Nearly all of the trailers and equipment are fi tted with BPW products. “Our team has been using BPW products since the start,” says LRT/VCT Workshop Manager, Vince Dichiera. “We run BPW Eco, Non-Eco and Eco Plus axles. We have 120 units with BPW suspension, and quad axle trailers with BPW lifts and steerable axles.” BPW axles with Eco Drum brakes include BPW‘s proven drum brake technology along with a reduction in weight. The improved component design of the 10-tonne drum brake axle with BPW Eco Plus 3 results in an overall reduction of weight by roughly 14kg per axle. The reduced weight means increased payload for the customer. BPW’s commercial trailer axles are built with up to 25-tonne capacity. Designed and manufactured in Europe, the axles are developed to suit the tough Australian road conditions and have proved to be one of the safest, most reliable, durable and cost-effective solutions in the market. BPW’s drum brake axles are well-known for their adaptability and longevity. Meanwhile, its self-steering trailer axles offer better manoeuvrability, less tyre wear and reduced fuel consumption. BPW is the only supplier of heavy commercial vehicle axles to have a
TS2 disc brake that offers proven classleading reliability. “Our drivers are happy with the performance of these axles and suspension systems,” Vince says. “Quality-wise, you can’t get better than this. BPW is the leader in heavy vehicle suspension in Australia. When it comes to BPW axles, there is no comparison with other brands. These axles are the best you can buy and with BPW, you get that level of quality and service for what you pay. In general, BPW products are low-maintenance and cost-effective.” Vince had extensive experience working on BPW products while working for a local dealership, before moving to LRT/ VCT nearly four years ago. He has a strong background knowledge of the product range and the technologies behind them. He currently manages a team of two qualified technicians and three apprentices at the workshop. The entire mechanic team is trained to work on BPW wheel bearings, suspensions, and electronic braking systems (EBS). “Over the years, we have found that BPW products are very easy to maintain, the design is functional, and they are userfriendly for the technicians,” Vince says. “BPW’s customer service is excellent, and we have always been very happy with the service we get from them. The boys down in the Melbourne office are very easy to deal and happy to assist us. BPW’s Product Consultant Peter Hart is always there to find the quickest and easiest solution to suit the customer.” As the business continues to grow, LRT/ VCT is increasing its fleet size and investing further in its infrastructure. Both Robinvale and Irymple depots have had the cold storage facilities upgraded recently, and a new workshop and drive-through wash bay added in the main Irymple depot. The grape season is underway in Mildura and surrounds at present, which means the LRT/VCT team is in the midst of full-scale operations, with its fleet constantly on the move. The BPW suspension and axle sets make sure there is less wear issue, reliable performance, and good control over load movement as the trucks and trailers do their job.

Tapping into road safety the 3M way
RETROREFLECTIVE TAPES ARE AN ESSENTIAL TOOL IN INCREASING THE VISIBILITY OF HEAVY VEHICLES AND IMPROVING ROAD SAFETY. 3M DIAMOND GRADE REFLECTIVE TAPES ARE HIGHLY DURABLE AND DELIVER OUTSTANDING VEHICLE VISIBILITY THAT ALLOW HEAVY VEHICLES TO BE SEEN EARLIER THAN UNMARKED VEHICLES, RESULTING IN GIVING OTHER DRIVERS MORE TIME TO REACT AND MANOEUVRE SAFELY IN TRAFFIC.
The Australian Government has a long-term road safety vision of reducing road crash fatalities, however, most of our past road safety efforts in Australia have focused on countering illegal behaviours and imposing vehicle safety standards. While road safety can be achieved through focus on safer drivers and safer vehicles, the other equally crucial parameter is safer road infrastructure. Among the many infrastructure challenges that exist to reduce the number of crashes and fatalities, special emphasis should be given to heavy vehicles. The governments, authorities, industry members and safety solution providers all need to work together to help Australia reduce death and serious injury on our roads because road safety is a shared responsibility. Data suggests heavy trucks and buses make up only 3.7 per cent of the vehicle fleet, yet they are involved in 16 per cent of all road fatalities, with around 39 per cent of fatal incidents occurring at night. Visibility of heavy vehicles is exacerbated at night especially in poor visibility conditions including rain, fog, dawn and dusk. However, some simple interventions can have a significant impact on road safety, particularly in relation to crashes involving heavy vehicles. Studies conducted in recent times have concluded that the usage of retroreflective tapes on trucks can be effective in avoiding collisions, with significant reductions

achieved in side and rear truck impacts. Data collected during one such study shows that the use of retrorefl ective tape under poor visibility conditions reduced overall rear collisions by 41 per cent and 37 per cent for side collisions. When trucks, trailers and other large commercial vehicles are more refl ective, they’re easier for other drivers to see at a distance, particularly at night and in inclement weather, thereby reducing the risk of accidents. A truck with outline refl ective markings is recognised earlier than an unmarked truck because they help to defi ne the total size of the truck to other road users. This gives other drivers more time to react and manoeuvre safely in traffi c. As a result, these retrorefl ective vehicle safety markings are a requirement in many countries around the world since the early 1990s. Conspicuity markings (aka contour markings) are also an economical way to introduce improved refl ectivity on vehicles. The right product, along with the right application, can help a heavy vehicle really stand out at a relatively low cost. Multinational conglomerate corporation 3M has designed road safety solutions to fi t all transport needs. Whether you need to add visibility to emergency vehicles, trucks and trailers, buses or rail cars, there’s a 3M product to meet those demands – all backed by local technical support and certifi ed applicators helping you to comply with regulations and guidelines. 3M’s range of high-performance refl ective tapes allows heavy vehicles to be seen earlier than unmarked vehicles. In addition, they are highly durable, easy to apply, and meet or exceed regulations and guidelines set out in the United Nations standards of conduct. The application cost of even such a highstandard conspicuity marking is low, while the safety improvements can be signifi cant. Today, standards for retrorefl ective truck visibility are specifi ed but not mandated in Australia. The ADRs and the National Regulation currently only accepts the UN standard for conspicuity. The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has produced a technical advisory procedure for heavy vehicle visibility (available on the ATA website) to help operators understand the requirements set out in the UN Economic Commission for Europe Regulation 48.

Trailer tyres, you can’t measure what you don’t monitor
AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST FAMILY-OWNED TYRE INNOVATOR AND DISTRIBUTOR, AUSTRALIAN TYRE TRADERS, IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING INDUSTRY LEADING OUTCOMES WITH THEIR APPROACH TO DEVELOPING QUALITY TYRES AND ASSISTING FLEETS ACCESS COST SAVINGS AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH HAULMAX TYRES.
The team at Haulmax Tyres believe that there needs to be a fundamental refocus in the way the overall cost and operational value of trailer tyres is viewed by the transport sector across Australia. Trailer tyres are often the majority of the overall tyre cost for any transport company, with a B-double having three times the amount of trailer tyres compared to drive tyres, all the way to some road trains having up to 9.5 times the amount of trailer tyres in comparison to drive tyres. Correct tyre selection and maintenance is critical “In our experience, we find that transport businesses are often choosing a cheaper invoice cost trailer tyre rather than selecting a trailer tyre that will give them a better cost outcome over the life of the tyre” says Australian Tyre Traders (ATT) Managing Director, Shane Morrissy. “There is a need for a shift in the way we think about trailer tyres, and the true value to business of getting it right.” ATT, the company that created the Haulmax Tyres brand, is an Australian owned and operated, private family business that has been in the Australian tyre industry for over 20 years. Having partnered with transport fleets and local tyre dealers throughout Australia, the team at Haulmax Tyres have seen first-hand, time and time again, the financial and operational benefit of using fit for purpose trailer tyres. “Our commercial division is focused on not only providing the best possible service to our customers, but also the best value for money when it comes to their tyres” says Solar City Tyres Shepparton Commercial Manager, Josh Sait. “We have used Haulmax Tyres drive and trailer products for years. We have a large number of customers achieving phenomenal cost savings on their Haulmax drive and trailer tyres and are requesting Haulmax Tyres to be included on their new trailer builds.” The team at Haulmax Tyres believe that initial selection is key to ensuring you are achieving the best performance and value out of your tyres. Partnering with Haulmax and local providers to ensure you have the correct monitoring and maintenance program in place, with regular reviews is paramount. With more than 50 experienced personnel Australia wide, and collective experience of over 500 years in the Australian tyre industry,

Time for a tyre rotation at the local dealer.
Haulmax Tyres are in a unique position to be able to assist their tyre dealer partners, original equipment manufacturing partners, and transport operators to understand their tyre inputs, and to partner with to them achieve a greater efficiency in their tyre operations. Haulmax Tyres are further supported through a network of over 275 locally owned, Haulmax Wingman agents as part of the Haulmax Wingman 24/7 National Tyre Assist Program. With a local product design and engineering team, they have the ability to be innovative in their tyre design to ensure the tyres are fit for purpose. “For example, we recently sent our product engineering team to the Pilbara in Western Australia to experience the unique conditions of the region, gather information on the roads, applications and issues faced by companies operating in such extremes,” Shane says. Based on their engineering team’s research and feedback from transport operators in the region Haulmax Tyres innovated and patented the ATT105 – Pilbara. A completely re-imagined trailer tyre designed from the ground up and challenging the status quo of how a trailer tyre can perform in the harshest of conditions. Speaking with Jason Legge – Maintenance Manager, from Project Haulage he says: “As a business our focus has always been to ensure all aspects of our fleet are getting optimum performance. We have tried numerous tyre brands over the years. Working with our local tyre dealer and the Haulmax Tyres team, our results with the 11R22.5 ATT101 trailer tyres, have significantly surpassed the previous brands we were supplied as original equipment on our builds.” ATT and Haulmax Tyres align with OEM truck and trailer manufacturers throughout Australia to provide for exceptional outcomes from the moment new equipment is being engineered. Performance-Based Standards (PBS) is a large focus for OEM truck and trailer manufacturers and the transport industry. Haulmax Tyres has been heavily involved in providing quality outcomes that support the PBS framework, having Haulmax tyres accredited locally, and all testing conducted in Australia. With their extensive knowledge and location, there is an opportunity for the original equipment manufacturers and fleet operators to get Haulmax Tyres involved in any new builds from the initial concept.

Adco builds perfection with Hardox steel
FOR THE PAST 14 YEARS, ADCO TRAILERS HAS BEEN EMPLOYING INNOVATIVE MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES TO USE SSAB HARDOX STEEL FOR TRUCK AND TRAILER BUILDS. SINCE ENTERING SSAB’S EXCLUSIVE HARDOX IN MY BODY MEMBERSHIP, THE COMPANY HAS ALSO JOINED THE LEAGUE OF SOME OF THE MOST TRUSTED AND QUALITY COMMERCIAL VEHICLE BODY BUILDERS IN AUSTRALIA.
A majority of Hardox In My Body members in Australia are tipper body builders. SSAB outlines how difficult it can be to get into its Hardox membership program because the manufacturers have to meet the specific membership criteria. These include meeting excellent quality welding standards, using the Hardox product in certain parts of the tipper body builds, and coming up with new designs and innovative ideas to apply the product. New South Wales-based Adco Trailers fit that bill perfectly and as a result, the company has been a member since 2016. Adco Trailers is a manufacturer and repairer of truck bodies and semi-trailers based in Spring Farm, in the Macarthur Region of Sydney. The business was established by Alex Fail in 2009 and from the early days Adco has been sourcing Hardox from SSAB. Hardox wear plate is the world’s leading abrasion-resistant steel that is hard right from the surface down to its core. This gives Hardox-built products extended service life and high productivity in even the most rugged of applications. “When Alex first started the business, he looked around at other products in the market, but a certain customer requested Hardox body for their trailer and Adco Trailers has stuck with the brand and only built Hardox body truck and trailers since then,” says Ben Fail, General Manager of Adco Trailers. Ben, who is Alex’s brother, has been working with the company for the past three years managing day-to-day operations, including estimating, quoting and scheduling. “We use Hardox 450 for our truck bodies and Strenx 700 for the chassis. Adco Trailers has put over 230 Hardox body units on the road so far,” he says. Hardox 450 is a highly versatile, abrasion-resistant steel with structural properties. It offers strong wear resistance for an extended service life. The hard steel offers superior strength and better dent resistance. The high toughness ensures that equipment can take impact forces without compromising its structural integrity. Meanwhile, Hardox 500Tuf is the next evolution in SSAB’s steel range, particularly for the tipper industry. The extra brinnell hardness in the steel can give end users either longer service life using the same plate
thicknesses as Hardox 450, or making bodies lighter by going down in plate thickness and keeping current service life! This is not just a typical 500 brinnell steel. The development has taken many years for SSAB to perfect. While other steel manufacturers claim they can produce this same grade, they cannot give the same properties as Hardox 500Tuf as listed below. • Welding – same parameters as Hardox 450 – Utilising thinner plate means less weld metal, faster welding speeds. • Bending. Same parameters as Hardox 450 – Utilising thinner plates uses less brake press forces. • Impact Toughness. Close to that of Hardox 450. • Dent resistance better than Hardox 450 –
Even going down in thickness, better dent resisitence. • Narrow hardness interval gives confidence in processing all parts. “SSAB products allow us to manufacture truck and trailer bodies to suit our customers’ application requirements,” Ben says. “The light-weight nature of Hardox steel means our customers can gain more payload. The quality of the material is second to none. Hardox provides greater longevity and strength over something like mild steel or quenched and tempered steel. The larger sheets of Hardox allow us to do larger builds without joints. It is clearly the best material suited for the harsh requirements that is demanded of in the transport and civil industries.” Since signing up as a Hardox In My Body member Adco Trailers has been getting more support from SSAB. The team gets more updates regarding supply and stock levels to plan its manufacturing processes accordingly. “The team at Adco Trailers were looking for a light-weight bodies for their builds so that they could increase payload and as a result help increase productivity for their customers,” says Darren Walsh, Regional Sales Manager Australia at SSAB. “The lighter design of Hardox bodies supports lower fuel consumption and less tire wear. Adco Trailers saw the potential in our steel and that’s why they jumped on buying our Hardox steel. Apart from the innovation side, they realise that they can do much more with our product.” SSAB is constantly improving production processes in order to develop new and better products. This has resulted in the ability to guarantee both closer tolerances and improved workshop properties. Hardox’s current range features Hardox 400, 450, 500 Tuf, Hardox 500, 550, Hardox 600, Hardox Extreme, Hardox HiTuf, Hardox HiAce, Hardox HiTemp, Hardox Round Bars, and Hardox Tubes and Pipes. “As we bring new grades of steel out, the team at Adco Trailers are finding innovative ways to fit them into their manufacturing,” Darren says. “It is all about utilising steel at its best and also finding out what new benefits it can bring to their customers.”
