IN MEMORY
Grace Hamilton 1925 – 2022
Gracie, Mom, Grandma Grace, Grandma Sweetie…Her patience, love, and understanding was very influential to all of us. Mom was very proud of her family, and she absolutely adored her grandchildren and in later years, her great-grandchildren. Mom dedicated endless amounts of time to her family, and we are all the beneficiaries of her kindness. Lovingly remembered.

Robert Prestage
1936 - 2022
We would classify Bob as a Legend in our beef industry. Bob was well known, not just in Canada, but around the world, for his past work exporting cattle, and promoting the Angus breed. He was a highly respected individual and was continually called on by so many for advice on many issues. Everyone who knew Bob understood that there was only Black… and White… with no chance of grey!! We will miss Bob’s annual phone call the morning after our bull sale…He wouldn’t say hello… just start off his call with, “I don’t know why you’re sitting around this morning; you’ve got a sale to get ready for!!” Yes
Brian Good
1953 – 2022
Brian had a great career working with Angus cattle…firstly with his family owned Black Browe Cattle Co. and then as a marketer, sale promoter, consultant, and lastly as the well-known ‘Mr. Angus’ with the Canadian Angus Association. Brian could easily visit with anybody, whether a good friend or a total stranger, and he dedicated his life to promoting Angus cattle. Brian will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Rick Hagel 1981 – 2022
Bob, we’ll get back out there and start getting ready for next year!! Bob was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Rick was that guy known for dropping whatever it was he was doing, to go help someone else in need. Rick and Kathryn and daughter Paytin, although unrelated to us, are a cherished extension of our family. Watching Rick take on cancer with unrelentless determination was incredibly inspiring for us. I could only wish that I would have a fraction of the strength Rick had, should I be in a similar situation. Rest easy Rick…You battled hard.
As a sideline, Rick and Kathryn perfected the art of smoking meat and together they served unbelievable meals that people could not forget. Kathryn will carry on with this tradition and will be preparing the prime rib for our sale once again.
