4.0 Eye & Face Protection 4.1 Wear safety protection equipment when operating machines and equipment that can produce flying particles. 4.2 Safety glasses or goggles are required when working overhead. 4.3 Safety glasses are required when using power tools. 4.4 Safety glasses are required when drilling, chipping, driving nails, hitting steel on steel, and when pouring concrete. 4.5 Safety glasses with side shields are required when handling chemicals. Corrosive chemicals, such as drain openers, battery acids and wet cell batteries require a full-face shield in addition to safety glasses, PVC gloves and a rubber apron. Keep hands away from eyes. 4.6 When welding, wear a welder's helmet, apron, gloves, and jacket. 4.7 Know the location and method of operation of eye wash stations and flood eyes with water if contact with foreign matter is suspected. Get help. Do not try to remove foreign matter yourself. 5.0 Hand Tool Safety Basic Rules for Hand tool Safety 5.1 Safety is a state of mind. Always think when using a tool: 5.2 Is it in good condition? 5.3 Is it sized right for the job? 5.4 Is it in the proper working condition? 5.5 Every tool was designed to do a certain job. Use it for its intended purpose. Keep your tools in good condition: sharp, clean, oiled, dressed and not abused. 5.6 Worn tools are dangerous. For example the teeth in a pipe wrench can slip if worn smooth, an adjustable wrench will slip if its jaws are sprung and hammer heads can fly off loose handles. 5.7 Tools subject to impact (chisels, star drill, punches, etc.) tend to "mushroom". Keep them dressed (sharpened) to avoid flying spalls. Use tool holders. 5.8 Do not force tools beyond their capacity or use "cheaters" to increase their capacity. 5.9 Secure your work in a vise whenever possible. Never hold small work in your hand when using a screwdriver. 5.10 Chisels, screwdrivers or other pointed tools should never be carried in clothing pockets. Use tool belts designed for carrying tools. 5.11 Hammers should have heads ground properly. Should not have broken claws or handles. Check for loose handles. Always use proper size and weight for the job. 5.12 Cutting tools should be kept sharp to ensure good smooth cutting. Always use proper handles. 5.13 Drill Bits should be kept sharp, not dull, chipped, rounded, or tapered. 5.14 Screwdriver points should not be badly worn and handles should be in good condition. Use the proper size and type of screwdriver for the job. 5.15 Wrenches, if adjustable, must work freely and adjust properly. Gripping teeth or smooth jaws should not be worn. Always use the proper size for the job. 5.16 Always wear the PPE required for the job. Protect your eyes, hands, ears and other body parts. Keep clothing out of your work.

6.0 Hand & Feet Protection Hand Protection 6.1 Wear leather or kevlar gloves when handling sharp or rough objects and breakable objects such as glass. 6.2 Asbestos gloves and treated terry cloth gloves should be used to protect hands from heat exposure. 6.3 Di-electrically tested rubber gloves should be worn to keep hands insulated from electric shock. 6.4 Rubber, neoprene, vinyl, or nitrile gloves should be worn when handling most chemicals and corrosives. 6.5 Rubber gloves should be worn when handling items which might contain blood borne pathogens. 6.6 Finger and hand injuries can occur without warning; therefore sound judgment should dictate the use of gloves when performing other tasks. Protection of Feet 6.7 Approved foot wear should be worn at all times. See your supervisor for what is acceptable in your work area. 7.0 Head Protection 7.1 Approved hard hats shall be worn on all construction sites and renovation areas. 7.2 Never keep anything under your hard hat (pack of cigarettes, wallet, etc.) it interferes with the suspension. Do not place decals or paint on hard hats. 7.3 A suspension that is too flexible permits contact with the head upon impact, causing skull fracture or concussion. 8.0 Ladder Safety 8.1 Stepladders a. Inspect ladders before using them. Remove defective ladders from service and notify your supervisor. b. Always open and set the ladder level on all four feet on a firm base, lock spreaders in place. c. Never use a stepladder like a straight ladder. d. Do not place a ladder in front of a door that opens toward it unless the door is locked, blocked or guarded by someone. f. Keep both feet on the ladder. Do not reach out too far or place one foot on some other surface. g. Only one person is to be on a ladder at any time. h. Do not use ladders for skids, braces, workbenches or any other purpose other than climbing. i. Two people may be required when working from a ladder of any height, check with your supervisor before starting the task. (i.e. one person is required to hold an extension ladder at the bottom until it is secured or if it cannot be secured, such as light pole work.) 8.2 Straight and Extended Ladders a. Inspect ladders before using them. Remove defective ladders from service and notify your supervisor. a. Use the four-to one ratio. Place the ladder so that its feet are one foot away from what it leans against for every four feet in height to the point where the top of the ladder rests. b. Place the ladder's feet on a substantial and level base, NOT on movable objects, and the top of the ladder must be adequately tied off at the top to prevent slipping. c. The top of the ladder must extend at least three feet beyond the supporting object when used as access to an elevated work area. d. Hold onto the ladder with both hands when going up or down. If material must be handled, raise or lower it with a rope.

Always face the ladder when climbing up, climbing down or when working. Be sure that your shoes are not greasy, muddy or slippery before climbing. Check ladder rungs for grease, mud and other debris and remove it before climbing the ladder. g. Do not climb higher than the third rung from the top on straight or extension ladders. h. Never use a metal ladder around electrical circuits or place where they may come in contact with such circuits. i. When work situations require a 20-foot or longer extension ladder, two associates shall be assigned to the job. NOTE: Two people may be required when the ladder is under 20 feet high, check with your supervisor before starting the task. 9.0 Lifting and Carrying Safety 9.1 Before lifting anything, follow these steps: a. Inspect material for slivers, jagged edges, burrs, rough or slippery surfaces, protruding nails, etc. b. Make sure that your hands are free of oil and grease. c. Wear the appropriate protective clothing (gloves, etc.). d. Size up the load. Estimate the weight, size and shape. If the load is too much to handle, GET HELP. e. Stand close to the object, keeping your feet 8 to 12 inches apart for good balance. f. Bend the knees to a comfortable position and get a good handhold. g. Using both leg and back muscles and keeping your back straight, lift the load straight up. Move smoothly and easily, pushing with the legs and keeping the load close to your body. Avoid sudden jerks. h. Lift the load to carrying position. Avoid twisting and turning about until the lift is complete. i. To turn the body, change foot position and check to see that your path is clear before moving. j. To set the load down, bend the knees, using leg and back muscles. When the load is securely positioned, release it. 10.0 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 10.5 10.6 10.7 10.8

11.0 Safety Comes First 11.1 Before assigning an associate to any job, new or repetitive, it is the responsibility of the supervisor to ensure that the individual understands the safety precautions associated with the task. This means that the necessary training has been given and documented, licenses, and certifications are up to date and on file and all safety concerns have been addressed. 11.2 It is the responsibility of the associate to understand and to follow the safety precautions. If you do not understand, it is your responsibility to ask for further explanation. If you have physical limitations, inform your supervisor and provide the proper documentation. 11.3 Safe work habits are largely a matter of individual responsibility, however, supervisors play a key role in communicating safety awareness to their employees. For example, it may be the worker's responsibility to put on safety gloves before handling a caustic cleaning solution. But if the supervisor has not repeatedly stressed the hazard involved, or has failed to convince the employee that handling this chemical entails the risk of injury to the skin, then the likelihood that the employee will take a chance and not put on gloves is greatly increased. It may be the worker's responsibility to actually put on the gloves when conditions warrant, but it is the supervisor's responsibility to instill the proper attitude and to motivate the workers to take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of the department. 11.4 Good communication is necessary between you and your supervisor, your co-workers and any others affected by your actions in order to work without injury. Before you begin any job you must be familiar with the hazards of the job and how to avoid injury. 12.0 12.1 12.2 12.3 12.4 12.5 12.6 12.7
Safety Program Provide mechanical and physical safeguards to the maximum extent possible. Conduct a program of safety and health inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions or practices and to control health hazards. Educating all associates in good safety and health practices. Provide the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) along with training for its use and care. Develop and enforce safety and health rules and require that all associates cooperate with these rules as a condition of employment. Investigate promptly and thoroughly every accident to find out what caused it and to correct the problem so that it will not happen again. Set up a system of recognition and awards for outstanding safety awareness and/or performance.
13.0 Recognize that the responsibilities for safety and health are shared: 13.1 Management accepts the responsibility for leadership of the safety and health program, for its effectiveness and improvement and for providing the safeguards required to ensure safe working conditions. 13.2 Supervisors are responsible for developing the proper attitudes toward safety and health in themselves and in those they supervise and for ensuring that all operations are performed according to department procedures with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all associates involved including themselves. 13.3 Associates are responsible for following the safety and health procedures and for being safety conscious while on or off the job.

METAL CASTING & FABRICATION This division was established to provide specialty architectural products for palaces, villas and buildings, plus other public and private spaces. ABC Industries designs products from various new perspectives, focusing on maximizing high-volume productivity, increasing strength and durability, promoting ease of installation and enhancing aesthetic appearance. We have a dedicated plant designed and built to house state-of-the-art roll-forming, metal processing and powder coating equipment and we are now the largest and prime manufacturers of these products in UAE. We have successfully produced reliable, comprehensive solutions in ornamental aluminium works. We specialize in ornamental iron fences, cast alloy railings, cast metal rail components, gates, balconies, building components, balusters, newel posts, fence posts and garden tables, chairs and benches and we manufacture various products, including large, decorative, architectural patterns which are highly durable and non-corrosive, such as minarets or decorative columns Casting Methods At ABC Industries, our in-house aluminium foundry enables us to cast a variety of products using the following methods: Gravity die casting This technique is employed when the casting quantity is large and repetitive and the component weights are of average size. It yields a high quality of surface finish and, when produced under professional supervision using state-of-the-art die designs, die casting machinery equipment and proper alloying, it also yields the highest strength cast aluminium alloy. The mould is manufactured from either hot die steels or from cast iron. Gravity sand casting This is the ideal economic process when the quantity being cast is lower and the weight of the cast component is very high. For this process, patterns are manufactured from wood, plastic, gypsum or metal, depending on the complexity of the design. Specially prepared green sand or synthetic resins are used to prepare the mould.

CUSTOM FABRICATION This is the support division for our traffic signs and other manufacturing sections. Some of the main work of this division involves the fabrication of heavy metallic structures, mostly overhead gantries for various big road projects. This division caters for a large variety of steel and aluminium works. The scope of this division is considerable. It covers the fabrication and erection of heavy steel structures weighing several tons, while also including the fabrication of stainless steel balustrades, aluminium grills and other aluminium works weighing just over a few hundred kilograms. Fabrication Facilities Our plant is furnished with equipment and machinery recommended by 3M in the USA – a leading supplier of innovative solutions to numerous markets and a name synonymous across the world with the use of outstanding technologies, high quality performance and great value. A skilled computer aided design (CAD) section is responsible for the processing of Scotchilite reflective material. Highly sophisticated plotter cutters and processing equipment are used to produce all types of retro-reflective traffic signs and safety signs. While silk screen printing facilitates the production of traffic signs, multicoloured fascias, self-adhesive emblems, advertisements, give-away promotions and various commercial graphics.

ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COATING At ABC Industries, we also provide powder coating for all materials from mill finish aluminium extrusions to hot dip galvanised steel, using the latest in powder coating technology, including chemical pre-treatment systems. The company’s state-of-the-art technology enables us to meet all relevant specifications for powder coating. Powder coating provides customers with a durable finish which resists cracking, peeling, fading or marring. Extremely abrasion, corrosion and chemical resistant, powder coating provides a finish that is superior to most other organic coatings. In addition to its ease of care and high durability, powder coating is very inexpensive compared to chrome plating and aluminium polishing and with hundreds of stock colors to choose from, we can match almost any color scheme you desire. Besides the regular epoxy-polyester coating, we are also capable of supplying many special powder coatings such as hammered gold, hammered copper, hammered silver, transparent powder and many others. Applications available include powder coating on cable trays, ladders, electrical and switch gear panels, aluminium profiles, handrails, sheets, electrical cable trays, fence posts, fencing accessories and the signage industry.

ALUMINIUM RECYCLING Our efforts reduce the need for landfill space and save significant energy by producing close to pure aluminium from this recycled scrap. One major advantage of recycling is that, because the process involves melting rather than smelting, it requires 95% less energy than the production of can sheet material from bauxite ore, resulting in lower costs that we then pass on to our customers. When best practice is applied to the recycling process, the quality of recycled aluminium is similar to that of primary metal, making multiple recycling possible without adversely affecting the quality of the end product. Our aluminium facilities produce a full line of commodity-grade aluminium ingots and casting alloys. Our sophisticated technology, capacity and strategic location enable customers to enjoy all the benefits of unbeatable price, quality and availability, proving that recycling aluminium products is more than just the right thing to do for the environment. SCRAP TRADING UAE has long been a hub for secondary recycling. With the turn of the century industries started focusing more on environmental protection and best practices to develop sustainability into industrial activities and resources. ABC, acting on its pioneering tendencies, took the first step in this direction in the UAE by installing an aluminium recycling plant and directed its capabilities into extracting aluminium from its ore. We collect and buy scrap metals from all over the world, either to sell in its existing form, or to feed into our recycling programme. The bulk of our purchases are used in-house to manufacture engineering grade, secondary aluminium alloys for the automobile industry. Our purchases have also found a niche in the international market where they are sold to other users as a graded scrap.

Remove defective ladders from service and notify your supervisor. b. Always open and set the ladder level on all four feet on a firm base, lock spreaders in place. c. Never use a stepladder like a straight ladder. d. Never climb higher than the second tread or rung from the top. e. Do not place tools or materials on steps. e.

Safety during Signage Installation Process Keep all equipment clean and work areas free of dust and debris. Keep all extension cords off the floor. Keep aisles free of obstructions and clearly marked. Ensure that all guards are installed on power equipment and in good working condition. Do not allow associates or others to operate equipment unless they have been checked out on all safety requirements for that equipment. Carry out all works with hand gloves, face, head and eye protection. Store all flammables in the proper containers. Report all accidents to your supervisor immediately.

Policy Statement on Risk Management It is the policy of Emirates Neon LLC (EN) that all risks of loss be minimized by risk management and prevention programs. The Directors reaffirms the commitment of Emirates Neon LLC (EN) to establish and maintain programs whose purpose is to promote the quality of service provided to the customers. Wherever possible, the focus of these programs is to prevent loss or injury through: • striving for quality in all aspects of the operation; • education of all levels of staff and employees; • providing basic elements for each component's quality and risk management program; • monitoring of activities resulting in loss of time, equipment and resources; • compliance with state and local codes, rules and regulations; and • coordination and integration of programs in risk management and in quality improvement. By this policy, each section head within Emirates Neon LLC (EN) is delegated the operational responsibility to implement the risk management and risk prevention program which will reflect the principles stated above. Additionally, each program should reflect the principal that an effective risk management program is the responsibility of all levels of management and all personnel. PROCEDURE Risk Definition and Classification Where possible, EN should use quantitative data and risk expressions to measure likelihood and impact of any identified risks. In some circumstances this may not be possible nor efficient or effective. Therefore a qualitative approach is acceptable. An example of a qualitativ e approach follows. LIKELIHOOD Level
