● The original design concept and production of the first set of country profiles was carried out by Jive Media Africa. Design modifications, data updates and profiles for 47 additional countries were undertaken by the HUB Collective in 2019.

● The first phase of the early childhood development Countdown work was hosted by the Department of Science and Technology-National Research Foundation’s Centre of

Excellence in Human Development at the University of the Witwatersrand, under the directorship of Linda Richter.

● The first phase was funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. This phase of profile development was made possible through core funding from UNICEF.
