Don Boysel April 5, 1948 – August 30, 2017 Our 14th Share the Future Sale is dedicated to the memory of Don Boysel, Boysel Genetics, East Liberty, Ohio. Don and his family are longtime Donors Unlimited partners and friends. His death came as a terrible shock to us all and he is dearly missed. His time with us was well spent but much too short. Don and his sons have bred several important and memorable cattle in this business over the years including major-winning steers, popular AI sires, and influential females in several breeds. This heifer was one of his favorites; one of several great ones he raised.

“Don Boysel was a good man. I considered him one of my closest friends. He agreed to it.” - Mike Mimms, DVM

LOT 1 SHARP 4401

Female

Calved: March 2014

Sire: Walks Alone Dam: Mimms TJ 401 (T.J. x Mimms Donor 401 by Blue Chip)

Mimms TJ401

Due to calve June 14 to In God We Trust PHA-Free/TH-Free

No one shares the sugar quite like Donors Unlimited – each year we sell cows, heifers, and genetics that go on to produce major champion success – and we believe firmly in putting our best available options in this auction every year. We stack the pedigrees that work for us, prep the stock, and sell them at prices that work for everyone. This beautiful program-changer is the product of dominant forces on both sides of her pedigree from a donor dam that is a one-of-a-kind maternal sister to Keylan Williams’ Ft. Worth Reserve Champion Steer as well as a former Grand Champion Steer of the Ak-Sar-Ben. Her second dam is Mimms Cattle’s amazing 401 donor that provided us with years of success and whose daughters were customer favorites each year. This double-clean cow has been a 100% premium performer from two natural calves and she has been flushed one time yielding 9 good ones. She has the modern build of a next-level producer featuring show heifer good looks and movement with steer making power. That should be enough but her pedigree will do the rest when she needs it. We want you to grow your program as we grow ours. When we say “Share the Future”, we really mean it. Sharp Farms

Her dam is a maternal sister to the $19,000 top steer of the 2017 Mimms Club Calf Sale and she injected this beauty with impressive volume, udder quality, foot placement, and some serious muscle.

Calved: October 2015

Sire: Pump Daddy Dam: Mimms 903W (Yellow Jacket x Taz x Iabon)

Due to calve July 31 to Size Matters – Prob. Calf Sex: Bull PHA-Free/TH-Carrier

Lot 87A

One of three that you need to see from Mimms Donor 903W, one of the most consistent sources of female quality in the DU lineup, this is a great package of total quality. She might be the biggest bodied and the hairiest one in the whole offering – and that’s saying something – and she is so easy moving and her disposition cannot be beat. Raised off site, we did not attempt to breed her as a yearling; she stuck on her first AI service. Mimms Cattle

Lot 87B

These 903W daughters are some powerful gals, and this one is a real brute! Her natural width and muscle from forerib to tail is very impressive and her skeleton is very correct. She is another heifer that was raised off site so we did not attempt to breed her as a yearling but she stuck on her first AI service. Mimms Cattle

Calved: August 22, 2016

Sire: Pump Daddy Dam: Mimms 903W (Yellow Jacket x Taz x Iabon)

Due to calve July 25 to Hef – Prob. Calf Sex: Bull PHA-Free/TH-Carrier

Another one from 903W that is built wide and right, this fall heifer ought to make a beautiful and versatile cow. Her dam has been a great source of quality with calves selling up to $35,000 so far plus Simpson & Son, TX, and Raul Gonzalez, TX, selected top daughters here a year ago. This smoky heifer has a longer, softer hip, excellent hair, and she moves especially well.

In just a short time in transplant she has produced a slew of high selling calves and big winners - over $260,000 and counting - and she has another great crop on the ground now. - Her flush to Monopoly in 2015 was amazing. The top steer sold for $35,000 to Rodgers Cattle, IA, and the flush produced a Monopoly heifer at $17,500 and another steer at $11,000. The first calf from this combination was a steer sold by Goretska Cattle, IA, for $22,000 that won all season long from the Badger Kickoff to the Missouri State Fair. - Aggie clicked great with Solid Gold as well. She raised the $25,000 steer that Brian Martin, TX, purchased plus his full sister that sold for $19,500 and another sister that sold in the Hunter Bros Sale, IA, for $19,000. - Most recently, Aggie raised that Grand Champion Steer in Dallas in the same year that a purebred daughter was selected as the Champion Charolais of the 2017 Iowa Beef Expo. - Everything this cow has produced so far has been high end and these are her first pregnancies to sell plus her first embryos by IGWT and Getcha Some! That makes her a maternal sister to Sullivan Ranch’s famous Chill 602G cow, the dam of Grand Steers at Denver and Ft. Worth, among others. - This cow is just coming of age but she has already produced calves at $22,500, $15,000, and $11,000 in 2018 alone plus previous calves at $10,000, $12,500, $6,000, and $5,000. She does it. Stop staring. Shirley Cattle Donor 1222 will be on display sale day

Mimms Donor 335A – Calf photo

- Colin Welper, TX, bought a set of eggs from “The Lady In Red” and raised himself a 3rd place ABC at San Antonio this spring. This cow delivers. Maybe as well as anything we have. She is well proven with Smokin’ Bob and this combo with Texas Tea ought to be very interesting. Mimms Cattle Donor 335A will be on display sale day

At the 2017 San Antonio Stock Show, Gold Dust sired two breed champion steers alone. Both the Champion Limousin and Champion All Other Crosses were sons of Gold Dust and both were raised by TM Farms, TX. - The first steer that Cody got from R713 sold for $7,500 this spring…and he was a Solid Gold!

Donor 1105

- The great looks and potential of this cow are hard to deny. She has the style and power that makes the other cows jealous and she has a Texas club calf pedigree that we know will work with a variety of combinations like these. - Airhart 577 daughters have written their own chapter in club calf history like that of another 577 daughter – CACC Donor 721 – whose recent calf crops included the sire Combo and his brothers that won the 2017 Alabama Junior Expo, the Goliad County TX Fair, and Champion Black of the 2017 Houston Stock Show. Very few 577 daughters started off as well as this one has. - Study her on sale and mark these packages as must-haves. LOT 216 EMBRYOS OF MIMMS DONOR 377 Donor Sire: True Grit Donor Dam: Mimms Donor 977 (Ammo 388 x Charolais x Maine) Donor 377 is Tested TH-Free / PHA-Free

Lot 216 – Three embryos by In God We Trust - #mindblower. This new one is a maternal sister to the white-hot sire, Business Done Right, and she is another individual that will make your trip to Hereford well worth it. You need to look in here. - Donor 377 is a freaky power machine and arguably the greatest daughter of True Grit. She is amazingly double clean yet she is so stout, hairy, and wide that you will not believe it. We retested her.

Donor 377

- See more from her amazing – but all-but-done - dam in Lot 26 and remember the quality of her maternal sister that Brandon Hush, KS, purchased a year ago plus the pair of brothers by LTB that averaged $7,550 in the first Sires Unlimited Sale. This blood pays! - Elevator going up, please. Mimms Cattle Donor 377 will be on display sale day See more from her family in Lot 26

Lot 217D – Three embryos by Monopoly Lot 217E – Three embryos by Monopoly

- This is a huge offering from a new cow that we think a ton of! We may be firing too early because the first crop from this one is yet to arrive this fall but we think it’s time you met her. - 571 was the $20,000 top bred heifer of the 2017 Combined Forces Sale and she was one amazing looking animal when she calved for the first time with an excellent son of Gold Standard that is being retained as a herd bull. She cracked her pelvis last spring and is not quite as impressive as she was but she is still some kind of futuristic sight in the HVC pens. The feet, balance, belly, and neck are so unique on this girl. Be sure to see her. - This is another new cow but we think you’ll agree that a little investment here could be a wise move. Better to get in early when a cow is built – and bred – like this one. Lots 217A-D are offered by Mimms Cattle / Lot 217E by Shirley Cattle Donor 571 will be on display sale day
