Conan Gray (コナン・リー・グレイ, グレイ 胡男 Gurei Konan), born December 5, 1998) is an Irish-Japanese recording artist and social media personality. He is best known for his eponymous channel and debut EP Sunset Season which was released under Republic Records in 2018 and has gained over 160 million streams online. CONAN GRAY'S 'MANIAC' VIDEO IS A 'NIGHT OF THE LIVING EXES' SPOOKFEST BY MADELINE ROTH
Just in time for the spookiest week of the year, Conan Gray has dropped a new video that begs the question: Would you survive if all your exes suddenly became zombies on Halloween eve, dead-set on winning you back? That's the unfortunate scenario Gray faces in "Maniac," which co-stars The End of the F***ing World actress Jessica Barden. Together, they try to fend off her ex-boyfriends, who all have stereotypical high school nicknames: The Meathead, The Nice Guy, The Art Boy, and The Dreamboat. The cinematic clip pays homage to horror classics like Dawn of the Dead and Zombieland — with a bit of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" thrown in — but Gray lightens up the action with his suave dance sequences. As for the song itself, "Maniac" is a total '80s fever dream, marked by shimmering synths and Gray's quirky lyrics about a fickle ex who leaves him simultaneously amused and hurt.

conan gray – aesthetic multitalent BY LEE FROM LENASCOLOURS
Conan Gray’s general aesthetic, a thing he is very known and loved for, has evolved quite a bit over the years. Conan himself said in past videos, that he has grown more confident in his personal style, which has affected his way of making videos. His room is full of old knick knacks, pictures, thrifted retro items and fairy lights. For somebody, that doesn’t just want great content, but also something nice to look at, conans videos and also just he in general, provide that just fine.
“I have all these emotions that are super extreme because my hormones are confused but I’m just going to figure it out and that’s what my album sounds like.”

Conan Gray Announces New Album 'Kid Crow' BY ROBIN MURRAY
Potent pop force Conan Gray has announced new album 'Kid Crow'. Everything the social media force touches turns to viral gold, gaining an international audience in the process. New album 'Kid Crow' is the end result, with Conan Gray bringing his ideas together for a full length project. He says... “The record is a study of how I perceive the world. I talk a lot about my friends and people I’ve met touring over the past year. It’s me. I’m not the coolest person, but the album is me accepting the fact I’m weird and I don’t need to be anybody else. It’s also a chance to encourage others to embrace who they are and be unapologetic about it.” New single “The Story” leads the way, and it's as sparse as they come, little more than acoustic guitar and tender vocal. Conan cuts that little bit deeper, singing: “It’s not the end of the story…”
From his YouTube beginnings to his debut album, Kid Krow, here’s a course on this star on the rise. BY STARR BOWENBANK
SO, YOU STARTED OUT ON YOUTUBE. HAS IT ALWAYS FELT NATURAL TO SHARE INTIMATE DETAILS OF YOUR LIFE WITH OTHERS? Conan Gray: I really believe I was raised by the internet. I made friends online during my youth, and my life is still happening online. Music I wrote when I was 12 is still out there, and over time, people watched me learn how to write songs and witnessed me having to figure it out on my own.
WHAT WAS IT LIKE TRANSITIONING FROM A YOUTUBER WORKING FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME TO BEING A FULL-TIME MUSICIAN TOURING THE COUNTRY? Conan Gray: The hardest, most confusing part was realizing how much had happened out of my bedroom and realizing my music became much bigger than I ever expected. But the second I started touring, it was everything that I’ve ever dreamed of—singing in front of fans every single night and experiencing the music with other people. In a weird way, it didn’t really feel like much of a transition at all because I got signed right when I moved away to college. It was a moment in my life when everything was changing all the time anyway, so I just tried my best to roll with the punches.
OKAY, LET’S DISCUSS KID KROW. TELL ME WHERE YOU FOUND YOUR INSPIRATION. Conan Gray: Kid Krow is honestly a mashup of genres. I’m not the kind of person who listens to one kind of music, as a result, the album is all over the place. I love ’90s grunge music—Radiohead, Nirvana, and Mazzy Star are some of my favorites. There’s glossy bubblegum pop production on Kid Krow, but there are also dark grunge and folk moments. Photographed by Aiden Cullen
Lyrics to Conan Gray’s HIT songs #1 COMFORT GROWD [Verse 1]
[Chorus]
This hurt that I'm holding's gettin' heavy
Yeah, I just needed company now
But I'ma keep a smile on my shoulders 'til I'm sweaty
Yeah, I just needed someone around
Beggin' on my knees
Yeah, I don't care what song that we play
Screamin', "Someone come and help me"
Or mess that we make
But by the time they're there
Just company now
I've already hid the body [Post-Chorus] [Verse 2]
Comfort crowd
My breath's gettin' short and I'm unsteady
Comfort crowd
Wellin' up in tears as I lay upon your belly Telling you, "I'm ďŹ ne, I don't really need nobody"
[Bridge]
But you say through a sigh
We mess around
That I said that lie already
And laugh too loud And make the sounds
[Chorus]
We try to hide when people are around
I just needed company now
By blood we're bound
Yeah, I just needed someone around
Through ups and downs
Yeah, I don't care what song that we play
Through smiles and pouts
Or mess that we make
Comfort crowd
Just company now
You can always count
[Post-Chorus]
[Outro]
Comfort crowd
Yeah, I just needed company now
Comfort crowd
Yeah, I just needed someone around Yeah, I don't care what song that we play
[Verse 3]
Or mess that we make
We rot, thinkin' lots about nothing
Just company now
Yeah, I could spend a lifetime
Comfort crowd
Sitting here talkin' And even if I cry all over your body You don't really mind Say you like your shirt soggy

Lyrics to Conan Gray’s HIT songs #2 WISH YOU WERE SOBER [Intro]
[Pre-Chorus]
Wish you were so—, wish you were so—, wish you were sober
I'ma crawl out the window now
Sober, sober, sober
Getting good at saying, "Gotta bounce" Honestly, you always let me down
[Verse 1]
And I know we're not just hanging out
This party's shit, wish we could dip Go anywhere but here
[Chorus]
Don't take a hit, don't kiss my lips
Nineteen, but you act twenty-five now
And please don't drink more beer
Knees weak, but you talk pretty fly, wow Ripped jeans and a cup that you just downed
[Pre-Chorus]
Take me where the music ain't too loud
I'ma crawl out the window now
Trade drinks, but you don't even know her
'Cause I don't like anyone around
Save me 'til the party is over
Kinda hope you're followin' me out
Kiss me in the seat of your Rover
But this is definitely not my crowd
Real sweet, but I wish you were sober
[Chorus]
[Post-Chorus]
Nineteen, but you act twenty-five now
(Wish you were so—, wish you were so—, wish you were sober)
Knees weak, but you talk pretty fly, wow
I wish you were sober
Ripped jeans and a cup that you just downed
(Wish you were so—, wish you were so—, wish you were sober)
Take me where the music ain't too loud
I wish you were sober
Trade drinks, but you don't even know her Save me 'til the party is over
[Bridge]
Kiss me in the seat of your Rover
I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish
Real sweet, but I wish you were sober
I wish you were sober I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish
[Post-Chorus]
Oh, I wish you were sober
(Wish you were so, wish you were so, wish you were sober) I wish you were sober
[Chorus]
(Wish you were so, wish you were so, wish you were sober)
Nineteen, but you act twenty-five now
I wish you were sober
Knees weak, but you talk pretty fly, wow Ripped jeans and a cup that you just downed
[Verse 2]
Take me where the music ain't too loud
Trip down the road, walking you home
Trade drinks, but you don't even know her
You kiss me at your door
Save me 'til the party is over
Pulling me close, beg me stay over
Kiss me in the seat of your Rover
But I'm over this roller coaster
Real sweet, but I wish you were sober

Conan Gray Freaks Out After BTS’s V Says He’s Inspired By His Music MTV asked if he would ever collab with him, and he answered! BY KATIE KIM
Just a few weeks ago, BTS held an interview with Rolling Stone, where they listed the artists who they’ve recently been inspired by. Among the many talented artists, BTS’s V specifically named American singer-songwriter, Conan Gray.
“Q: What artists inspire you right now?” V: Conan Gray. And of course, whenever BTS speaks, the world listens. And the news traveled to reach Conan Gray himself who took to Instagram to freak out about the shout out! As soon as the interaction hit, MTV asked Conan Gray if he’d ever want to collab with BTS or V. Conan didn’t hesitate in expressing his excitement over the possibility. He gave a shout out to V, claiming “Oh my gosh. Look. V. Taehyung. I love you. I love you so much. Let’s make a song. Please hit me up! I’ll write the saddest song for you ever, and we can have such a good time! I would adore that!”
“I love all those boys. They’re all just so so so talented and… I just honestly just want to see one of their shows. That’s what I want, please!” - Conan Gray

Q&A | CONAN GRAY: THE INTERNET'S SWEETHEART BY SOPHIE LEE
Q: What inspired you to begin songwriting and doing music? A: You were on YouTube for a while before you started releasing any songs. Well, I started making videos when I was nine years old, so I was basically a toddler. Then I started writing songs when I was 12, so I wasn't quite a teenager yet, but I was very, very young. Honestly, I started doing all of that just because I was really, really bored and I really wanted an outlet. I wanted to do something with my time and with my life. I was just living in suburbia. I grew up in the middle of Texas basically, just a small town, an hour away from Austin. I was just bored and I had no friends cause no one wanted to be friends with the new kid. So I just wrote songs and made art.
Q: It's interesting that you say you're very shy because you're sharing a lot about yourself online, stuff that even people who wouldn't say they were shy, probably wouldn't talk about. It's a lot about your childhood and things that you've been through. Do you know why you find it easier to talk about those things online? A: I think any internet kid can agree that if you're raised on the internet, it almost feels like everything you do on the internet isn't real, even though it's very much, super, super real. I started putting stuff up on the internet about my life when I was nine years old. So I really don't even remember a time before I started telling the world everything about myself, even though they did not ask! Nowadays, I'm super aware of the fact that when I say something on the internet or when I do something, it's going to be on the internet forever and hundreds of thousands of people are gonna see it. But when I was younger, I just wasn't aware of that, so I put so much on the internet and now that the internet knows so much, there's really nothing I can hide anymore. So might as well just say everything that I need to say.
