Prince Avenue Christian School has a strong Biblical foundation, great facilities, and expansive academic, athletic and fine arts programs. Our faculty, staff, and students are committed to maintaining the strong Christian heritage we enjoy as a ministry of Prince Avenue Baptist Church as the school grows to meet the needs of a new generation of students and families who desire to honor Christ in their educational pursuits.
Since moving to the new campus in Bogart in 2006, our student population has increased by nearly 50%,
with nearly 800 students currently enrolled. While this impressive growth has enhanced our ministry opportunities, it has stretched our existing facilities to the maximum level. Your investment in the Excellence campaign will help provide a stronger Foundation for our Future.
God has given us a vision for the future of Prince Avenue Christian School that includes the develop-
ment of a campus which will enhance our ministry opportunities, and broaden our ability to meet the educational challenges of future Wolverines. Our commitment to excellence through our ministry compels us to develop a long-range campus plan which honors God, fulfills our mission, and meets the priorities we have for our children.
PHASE I
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT $5.5 MILLION ACADEMIC FACILITIES Creating additional academic space is the top priority for Prince Avenue Christian School. The school is committed to maintaining small class sizes and low studentteacher ratios. New construction and renovation of rooms in our main school building during the first phase of our long-range plan will provide an additional seven classrooms for academic use. Allocation of classroom space is a constant pressure of growth, and as soon as money is available, new construction and renovation of existing space will provide some immediate relief.
FINE ARTS SUITE With Prince Avenue Christian School’s commitment to offer opportunities for students to explore their creativity and God’s creation through the fine arts, a suite of classrooms specially designed for our music, art, band, and drama programs will be included as part of the Phase I new wing of the school. The suite, with a common area for students to gather, and gallery space for the display of students’
work, will include state-of-the art sound enhancement, indoor and outdoor performance and practice areas, and secure storage for instruments and other music and technical equipment. The art studio in the fine arts suite includes a kiln for firing pottery, and adequate space for creative exploration of students’ artistic interests.
TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE Today’s technology allows for innovative teaching and learning, and Prince Avenue wants to continue to enrich the student educational experience through state-of-the art technology. In order to remain on the forefront of these technological advances, a strong infrastructure is needed to allow students and teachers to interact through technology in contemporary education. Capital improvements to the infrastructure will provide greater internet speeds and advances in the ability to use computers, mobile devices, and existing interactive white board technology for learning for students in all grades.
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, AND ATHLETIC FACILITIES Physical education and Wolverine athletics play an important role in the development of well-rounded students. The Phase I capital campaign project will provide a new strength and conditioning and locker room field house, to be located between the softball and football practice fields. Moving the weight room to this new building allows expansion of classrooms inside the existing school building, while providing better and more up-to-date facilities for our athletes. As funds become available, construction of this field house will begin, along with the renovation in the main building, so that we can quickly have use of additional classrooms in the main school building. The capital plan also includes the construction of a new general assembly and physical education gymnasium, which will anchor the Phase I school wing. Lower and middle school students will especially benefit from the new gymnasium with facilities for expanded physical education programs and practice and competition space for elementary and middle school sports on campus. The gymnasium will also be designed to be used as an assembly auditorium for midsize performances, academic competitions, general meetings, and special events.
“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you. Joshua 3:4-6
Athletic Fieldhouse
Phase I
When the money is available, construction of the athletic fieldhouse will begin between the Wolverine softball field and the athletic practice field. The new fieldhouse will include a strength and conditioning weight room, team locker room, and coaches’ offices. Construction of the fieldhouse sets in motion the renovation of academic space within the main school building. The current weight room will be remodeled and designed for a performing arts classroom. Room 225, where the performing arts classes now meet, will be divided into two academic classrooms for use by the upper school. Also, renovation will begin on the Wolverine Den, expanding and remodeling the space to provide room for more lunch tables which will help relieve the space limitations in the Wolverine Cafeteria. The Wolverine Den will also serve as a new commons area for students to gather, study, work on projects, and will, in time, be set up as a mini-technology hub for school use of iPads, laptops, and other mobile devices. AT A GLANCE PHASE I:
Academic Facilities • 2 Classrooms Renovated • New Strength & Conditioning classroom Athletic Facility • Fieldhouse construction Wolverine Den • Remodeled and renovated as expanded lunchroom space and student commons area Fine Arts Facilities • New Performing Arts classroom
Phase I Renovations
Phase II New Academic Center
The vision for Prince Avenue Christian School’s future is not limited by our plans for Phase I construction. The next step will broaden our ability to minister to students through a new academic center. The two-story building is designed with large classrooms, multi-purpose science and foreign language labs, a state-ofthe-art technology center, and a learning center for study and tutoring. There is no definitive timetable set for the Phase II campus expansion. Prince Avenue Christian School intends to continue to build new facilities debt-free as God leads and opens doors for us to build. AT A GLANCE PHASE II:
Academic Facilities • Classrooms on two levels • Multi-purpose Science Labs • Foreign Language Lab • Technology Center • Learning Center

CAFETERIA AND WOLVERINE DEN EXPANSION Lunchtime is a significant part of the day for our students, and we recognize the need to expand the Wolverine Cafeteria and Den to allow more students to eat lunch at the best times of the day. Equally important is the opportunity for
“I will not offer as a sacrifice to the Lord my God that which costs me nothing. 2 Samuel 24:24
students to have a place to gather, study, share ideas, work on school homework or projects, or just relax. The renovation and expansion of the Wolverine Den will give Prince Avenue Christian School a multi-purpose commons area, as well as provide additional seats for lunchtime. Also, as the Phase I wing nears completion, the media center will be relocated to another part of the main school building, and the Wolverine Cafeteria will expand again with a net gain of over 2,500 square feet.
COURTYARD AND PLAYFIELD The design of the Phase I new school wing provides for the addition of a multipurpose outdoor courtyard located off the fine arts suite, and a playfield on the far side of the gymnasium. These carefully designed spaces provide opportunities for outdoor, small fine arts performances, additional rehearsal space, and can serve as an extension of the art studio when needed. The playfield will expand the physical education, practice, and recess areas as well. Both areas serve as expanded common areas for all Prince Avenue Christian School students, which is something students currently lack with our existing facilities.
PHASE II: FUTURE CAMPUS EXPANSION Our vision to pursue excellence as the foundation of our future is not limited by our capital campaign for the first phase of our campus expansion. We expect that our enrollment will continue to rise over the next ten years, and we have flexible long-range plans to expand our academic facilities even more as money becomes available.
During Phase II, we will increase our academic space by 36,310 square feet in
a carefully designed two-story academic building which will be located adjacent to the existing school. The first two phases of campus development have been designed to blend together and to make effective use of the existing land. Students will benefit from 12 large, state-of-the-art classrooms, an advanced technology center, multi-purpose science and foreign language labs, a tutoring and learning center, and administrative offices. Several student commons areas are an integral part of the design plan.
As we continue to develop our campus, we will maintain our commitment to
excellence, and this will require us to continuously re-evaluate our facilities and ministry needs, adding as necessary. We continue to pray and seek God’s direction as we plan for our future, standing firm in our commitment to our school mission and our desire to proceed as we sense God’s blessing.

(Philippians 2:12-13, Ephesians 3:16-21) • Am I joyous about giving this amount? (2 Corinthians 9:8) • Am I demonstrating an expression of my faith in God with this amount, with a motivation of worshiping God and showing my thankfulness? (Jeremiah 7:22-23, 2 Corinthians 9:6-13)

Excellence begins with You!
GIVING TO PRINCE AVENUE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL What is the Excellence Campaign? Excellence…The Foundation of our Future is a way our families, alumni, and friends can contribute to the enhancement of the educational experience of Prince Avenue Christian School students. This capital funds campaign supports our commitment to provide the best Christian educational experience for our students, and supports our mission to infuse our students with a Biblical worldview by pursuing excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. The Excellence campaign will underwrite improvements to our facilities beyond what is supported by other funding sources. Is my gift tax-deductible? Prince Avenue Christian School is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, so all gifts to the school are tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific tax situation. Who can give to the Excellence Campaign? Parents, grandparents, alumni, families of former students, philanthropic foundations, and other friends of Prince Avenue Christian School are invited to give to the Excellence campaign. What is the difference between the Excellence campaign and the Annual Fund? The annual fund helps to offset the cost of operation over and above what tuition covers. The Excellence campaign is designed to expand Prince Avenue’s academic, arts, and athletic facilities in order to enhance the learning experience of our students. Since tuition, fees, and the Annual Fund cover the basic annual operating costs, why do we need the Excellence campaign? Prince Avenue Christian School tries to make tuition affordable and competitive with com-
parable area schools. In order to expand or enhance our facilities, we must rely on other sources of income, particularly for major facility expansion. If Phase I is completed within three years, how soon will we begin Phase II? Our vision is only limited by available funding. It is our desire to build our expansion debt-free. We are committed to constantly assess our students’ and our ministry’s needs and expectations, and will proceed with Phase II as we sense God’s timing, and the finances become available. Why should I give to Excellence…the Foundation of our Future? Prince Avenue Christian School is committed to providing our students with the best Christcentered education possible. In order for this to happen, we must remain proactive and involved in planning for our future growth and in enhancing the spiritual, academic, athletic and fine arts experiences of our students.
This requires involvement and support of our entire school community, including parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff, school board, and friends. Your gift to the Excellence campaign is essential to the success of our school mission, and provides funds for major initiatives not supported by tuition or the annual fund. And your gift shows charitable foundations that Prince Avenue Christian School is worthy of outside support. How can I give to the Excellence Campaign? •
