Call to Worship adapted from Thom Shuman We come, our souls thirsting for God, our spirits longing for love. We come to the one who gives us living water. We come with prayers in our hearts & with words too painful to speak. We come to the one who hears our cries, who carries our suffering. We come, planted into families and communities and a church home. We come to the one who grows us together for the sake of God's kingdom. Hymn

O God Beyond All Praising

Prayer of Confession

TFWS #2009

adapted from Thom Shuman

Let us confess together our need for God and for one another. God of all of us, it's often so hard to begin. And it can be even more difficult to begin again: to get out of a rut, to re-focus where we've become distracted. When we consider your call, we are quick to be overcome by the difficulty of following. There are obstacles, there is work, there are changes and choices to make. We are quickly discouraged. We need your help. We need one another. God of grace, meet us where we are. Continue to invite us into your ways of joy, generosity, and growth. Continue to call us to come and see what you would show us. Continue to nudge us toward one another, to give and receive, feed and be fed. Continue to encourage us to drink from the well of your living water, that together we might truly be your people. silence for prayer

God's living water breaks through our doubts, our difficulties, and makes all things possible. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God! Alleluia! Amen.

TO RESPOND IN FAITH

Hymn Fill My Cup UMH #641 Prayers of the People The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Offertory
