Prayer of Confession adapted from Feasting on the Word Worship Companion, Year B, Vol 2
Let us confess to our God, for the Lord is just in all ways and kind in all doings. The Lord is near, let us immerse ourselves in God's presence and mercy. God, you uphold those who are falling and raise up all who are bowed down. And we come today, as we are, to open our hearts to you. We confess that we have sinned. There are things we have done that have not glorified you. There are things we have left undone. We have strayed from the way of your love, and we come again today in every confidence that you will open your hand to us, in an embrace of forgiveness and love. silence for prayer Words of Assurance
Dear ones, through the power of the Spirit that is at work within us, we are able to live in the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge and fills us with the blessing of God In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Alleluia! Amen.

TO RESPOND IN FAITH Reception of New Members / Confirmation Prayers of the People The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kin-dom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kin-dom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Offertory
