Words of Welcome The Peace

The peace of the Lord be with you. And also with you.

Call to Worship God has called us from all across the Earth From East and West, from North and South The Holy Spirit has moved us to respond through worship. To sing praises to God, to be formed as God's people. Just as Jesus welcomed the young, the old, the powerful, and the outcast, We are ALL welcome here, to become the Body of Christ for the world! Hymn

God Is Here

UMH #660

Prayer of Confession God of all people, our hearts are too narrow, our perspectives are too small. You have called so many "good" and we have called so many "bad." We reject those who are not like us those with different political opinions, those with different theological beliefs, those with different abilities, those who dress differently than us, those who look differently than us, those who disagree with us. We forget that all are your beloved children, and neglect your call to love one another. Forgive us, O God, for the many ways we have failed to be a people known by our love. Show us how to be more caring. Teach us how to love one another, and make us faithful disciples. Amen. silence for prayer

Words of Assurance God dwells among us, giving to all who believe the repentance that leads to life. Rejoice in the Lord, for we are a forgiven people. Alleluia, Amen! adapted from MinistryMatters.com

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Sign-in and Connect! This five-week class begins this Sunday, offering an opportunity to learn more about Princeton UMC and consider how you might get more plugged into the many ministries happening in the life of our church. At the end of the five weeks, participants will be invited to join into membership at PUMC. Email Pastor Jenny at jenny@princetonumc.org if you want to participate. Building Bridges Community Heritage and Prayer Pilgrimage

May 22nd | 12:30 pm

We invite you to participate in a walk (a pilgrimage of sorts) through the Witherspoon Jackson Neighborhood as part of our Building Bridges series. This tour, starting in the Sanford Davis Room, will offer opportunities for us to learn about the hurt and hope experienced by neighbors in our community and participate with one another in dialogue around these experiences. Can't make it that day? That's okay! Here's the booklet, so that you can take the tour at your own leisure. (Accessible at princetonumc.org/communityheritage-prayer-pilgrimage)
