Call to Worship adapted from Steve Garnaas-Holmes You are invited to make a sign for love—cross your hands over your chest (ASL for "love") or make a heart with your hands, or any other sign or movement that says "love" to you, as you say the People parts.

God the Creator, divine artist, fashions the universe with skill and beauty. We come to love you, God. Jesus the builder has shaped our hearts with loving hands and a steady eye. We come to love you, God. Holy Spirit, breath of new creation, continually makes us new. We come to love you, God. We open our hearts to you. Alleluia!

Sermon Insert

For our confession, we'll talk about different parts of our bodies that are able to serve God and others. In doing this we offer our whole selves to God today, asking God to help us love as we were created to love.

move hands to your throat or mouth You call us to be your voices in this world and we stay silent. put your hands out in front of you You call us to be your hands in this world and we keep them hidden. point to or stomp your feet You call us to be your feet in this world and we go our own way. look to a neighbor When we meet those who are doubting & say nothing, forgive us. move your arms to reach out to a neighbor When we meet those who need your touch & do nothing, forgive us. point to your back or flex your strong muscles When we are called to take up your cross & carry nothing, forgive us. Breathe life into these bones [blow out with your breath] bring freedom to these lives [put your arms out or turn around, free] that we might declare with heart [point to heart] and soul [point to solar plexus/our center] and voice [point to throat or mouth] that you are our Lord and our God [ASL for God]. Amen. silence for prayer
