CORPORATE DESIGN

Concept Statement Statement of Major Design Related Issue The Leo A Daly office is an Architecture, Interior and Engineering office. The staff should be afforded an inspiring environment due to the creative requirements of their work. The major design issues faced in this project are to design a space that is functional for the growing staff as well as to create a stylistic modern vibe for the Miami office. The design must incorporate sustainable materials in all aspects and last for a minimum of 15 years.

One-Word Statement a perception, as of visual stimuli (optical illusion), that represents what is perceived in a way different from the way it is in reality.

Illusion

1. Ambiguous illusions - a perceptual 'switch' between the alternative interpretations. Ex: The Necker cube, the Rubin vase. 2. Distorting illusions - distortions of size, length, or curvature. Ex: the CafĂŠ wall illusion, MĂźller-Lyer illusion.for 3. Paradox illusions - objects that are paradoxical or impossible. Ex: The Penrose triangle or impossible staircases seen.

Idea Generator My inspirations for my design will be the works of Dadaism focusing on the illusions and interaction of the mind with the art work

Form Givers Dadaism: Visual art. Some examples: Collage, Photomontage

The inspiration will come from the developmental characteristics of Dadaism. The movement of dadaism is a rebellion of everything which establishes rules and restrictions. Focusing on the works of Man Ray, will illustrate art with its optical illusions. Optical Illusions play with the mind and force your to interact with the artwork.

Meeting Space and Magnetic's

The open office work space was designed for ease in communication between co-workers, allowing for the office environment to work as a collaborative team. Throughout the space, magnetic walls are placed to act as a "pin-up" board where designers can post up their presentations and review their work with others.

Aside from the regular functions and displays found at a shoes tore, this particular shoe store will promote the idea of the nightlife environment by provide a bar in the shoe store. Customers will enjoy the service of a Shoe Bar. This will function like a regular bar but instead of serving drinks it will serve shoes. This unique shopping experience will make this shoe store standout among other designer shoe competitors.
