10th Anniversary Celebration
SPONSORSHIPÂ OPPORTUNITIES
Celebrating Our Achievements, Inspiring a Bold Future Dear Friends, As the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado celebrates its 10th Anniversary, it has the opportunity to reflect on its hopes and aspirations towards the realization that every Latino, every Coloradan has the opportunity to thrive. Nearly a decade ago, a set of visionary Latino families and allies sought to establish Colorado’s first Latino foundation. Their dream was to create a philanthropic entity to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the community. This vision was realized through the commitment of fourteen families and several foundations who joined together to create an institution that has invested over $3.5 million in Latino communities throughout Colorado. The LCFC believes that the rich and varied identities of Latinos contribute to the diversity and culture of Colorado. The LCFC is committed to creating inclusive, thriving communities rooted in equality and belonging so that all members of our community have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. The LCFC’s 10th Anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate its achievements and a time to recognize its central role in helping to shape a new reality for Latinos in Colorado. It is also a time to remember the important contributions by many, to thank its supporters for helping advance the mission, to create awareness of the struggles and challenges that Latinos face and remember that together we will persevere and be an inspiration for the community. This celebration also kicks off our commitment for the next decade where we will: • Cultivate a new generation of philanthropists; • Support leaders who can impart social change to transform communities; • Harness the collective intelligence, assets and spirit of the community to address complex issues; and • Pursue strategic alliances with foundations, corporations, nonprofits, government and individuals to strengthen, expand and/or scale up efforts in tackling complex issues. Transforming communities is powerful. By sponsoring the LCFC’s 10th Anniversary celebration you are supporting the ability for it to continue playing a leadership role in developing strong and vibrant Latino communities. Together we are creating a thriving Colorado for everyone. Join us. Be a part of the story.

HISTORY
In 2007, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado was launched by Rose Community Foundation in partnership with Hispanics in Philanthropy, The Jay and Rose Philips Family Foundation of Colorado, Western Union Foundation and individual Latino leaders to be a resource in the community and a catalyst for positive change. Throughout the years, the LCFC has increased the visibility of Latino philanthropy in Colorado by creating a pool of donors who contribute funds to help nonprofits build their capacity to deliver high quality services to the Latino community. The work of the LCFC encourages new leadership, innovation and community-building opportunities to unleash the resources of individual Latino donors that benefit communities throughout Colorado. By bringing people and partnerships together, the LCFC has promoted the power of collective giving and has granted more than $3.5 million to more than 80 Latino-serving nonprofit organizations in Colorado over the past ten years.
CELEBRATING A LIFETIME OF ACHIEVEMENT QUERER ES PODER - LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) will honor Ronald E. Montoya with its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award – Querer es Poder - at its 10th Anniversary celebration on September 14, 2017. The award was established to recognize and promote individuals who have an established history of distinguished service in Colorado, made lasting contributions to the Latino community, exhibited leadership and provided inspiration to others and positively influenced Latino philanthropy. It is the LCFC's most prestigious award. Among his many achievements, Ron was a founder of the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado and was the board chair for nine years. During his tenure, he was instrumental in providing the leadership that took the foundation from a dream, to a start-up and through its growth. Help us celebrate Ron and his achievements.
Ronald E. Montoya “One of my proudest days was when we created the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado. Latinos have a tradition of generosity and are ready to be recognized as philanthropists. My dream was to help create a foundation that would help our community and one that created a legacy of giving for future generations.” – Ron Montoya
